'Just Couples' is a well equipped detached cottage. Perfect for a romantic 'get away from it all' holiday or a few day away 'a deux'. The gite has been decorated using warm Mediterranean colours and furnished to a high standard using solid wood furniture, large mirrors and hand woven Indian rugs, giving it a warm and welcoming feel. The ground floor is open plan with a cosy lounge area. A Villager gas/log fire, comfy sofa for two, and a flat screen TV with a built in DVD player along with English free view channels.make for a great night in! The windows are fitted with slatted blinds for extra privacy and have lovely draped curtains. The spiral staircase leads up to the mezzanine floor. Here you will find the bathroom and bedroom area. Outside there is a small private patio garden complete with a good size stone barbecue. The forest is on the doorstep - and the quiet west coast beaches are only a ten minute drive away. Nearest Airport: Dinard at 155 Kilometres
Nearest Ferry: Cherbourg at 45 Kilometres
Nearest Train: Carentan at 20 Kilometres
Nearest Beach: beach at 10.0 Kilometres

A few minutes by car to the lovely abbey town of Lessay. Famous for the fair of St Croix which is held over three days every September. Original said to have been started by the abbey monks over a thousand years ago. The wonderful beaches of the west coast are only ten minutes away, and the forest is a two minute walk from the property. The DD landing beaches as well as the medieval town of Bayeux and it's world famous tapestry are about an hour away. Mont st Michel is just over an hour.

A week in Normandy

We are very happy of our stay at the cottage. The house is beautiful and very well furnished (even a dishwasher). We had a bad weather but the terrasse at the back with a barbecue should be great with a little sun.
Rachel is a wonderful woman and she cooks really great. The tandem was a pleasant asset to make a trip in the neighbourhoud.
The river, the wood and all this within a walking distance, sea at 10 minutes.
The only thing we have to say is GO, GO, GO and enjoy!!
