Perfect end to our perfect honeymoon

Honeymooning in Europe Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Review Submitted: November 18, 2009 Date of Stay: November 2008
Love, love, love this apartment! After travelling for a couple weeks prior to this stay, we were so thrilled to have a relaxing and worry-free homebase in Rome. The weather was much to be desired, we had unseasonably cold temperatures when we arrived. After Alex explained how to heat up the place, we were content. On day 5 we were finally able to open up the patio and was able to enjoy for a couple hours. When looking at apartments in Rome, this terrace was our deciding factor. It was sad for us to not be able to use it for most of our stay, but we loved the view from behind the glass.

The apartment was clean, the bed was really comfortable (unlike some of the other places we stayed at on our trip). Aside from an umbrella (which we bought from a market vendor and left there for others to use), we didn't need anything that wasn't already provided. I would have liked to see a instructions for the washing machine as I had a really hard time figuring it out.

The location was central to everything. Our favorite cafe was the Farnese Bar, just outside of Campo. We took Roman cooking lessons in Trastevere at Le Fate Restaurant by Chef Andrea Consoli - highly recommend this if you are staying a more than a few days and it's a nice walk from the apartment.

I love Rome, we came back to this city to end our honeymoon with vibrancy and life. I will most definately stay again in this apartment on our next visit (because there is no greater city in my opinion that Rome).

Thanks Alex!

Perfection Look no further

Your first pleasant surprise, when you arrive, is the apartment and views are exactly as pictured. The terrace is such a bonus; I cannot adequately describe how much you will enjoy it. Start your day there with coffee and end your day there with wine. The apartment is located between Governo Vecchio and Corso Vittorio Emanuelle which places you in heart of many must see locations and makes it very easy to become acclimated to the city. You can walk to Piazza Novona, Trevi Fountain, Vatican, Castle of the Angels, Coliseum, Forum, Campo de Fiori Market, Panetheon, Spanish Steps, etc. There is a grocery store on Governo Vecchio about 2 blocks from the apartment, with plenty of restaurants all around. Some of the best restaurants are in the Campo de Fiori and Trastevere area which is easily accessible on foot. Alex recommended Le mani in pasta (in Trastevere) it was the best meal of our trip. Alex is very helpful and has made sure everything you will need (power converter, blow dryer, iron, coffee pot, tea kettle, guide book etc.) are available. One tip, write down or print the apartment address to give to cap drivers. If you are looking for the perfect spot to make you feel at home and in the heart of the city, look no further you have found perfection.

Rome Oasis...

Mary and Aaron Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
Review Submitted: June 16, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
This apartment was spectacular! The location is amazing within walking distance to everything, as well as having all emenities (cafe, gelatto, restaurants, enotecca, groceries) at you doorstep. The property is very well maitained, very clean, cozy and comfortable (elevator and it has a freezer for ice). The rooftop terrace was our favorite place to chill with a glass of wine after sightseeing and admire the beautiful skyline. This was a great place to start our romantic vacation and it spoiled us for the rest of the trip. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Thanks Alex!!

Wonderful apartment with a perfect location

Nadine&Jeff New York City, USA
Review Submitted: June 1, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
We could not have hoped for a better location for our stay. Just outside the building is a cobblestone alley with shops, a grocery and many many restaurants. Within blocks are multiple piazza with fountains, bars, restaurants and morning markets with fresh produce, cheeses, meats, bags, clothing...and since the apartment is located in the old city, every step of every walk took us down another beautiful side-street. We found sightseeing to be quite easy since we were able to walk from the apartment to the vatican, pantheon, coliseum, capuchian crypt and trevi fountain (none more than 30 minutes by foot). The uefa champions league final took place on one evening of our trip and on that night the bars closed and the restaurants did not serve alcohol...no problem, we simply had a nice dinner out and returned 'home' to open a bottle of wine and sit on the terrace and look out over the roofs of Rome. The apartment itself was comfortable and welcoming and it was always nice to return there after being out and about in the city. Highly recommended.
