A drive for several cars leads to the front door of self-catering Villa del Mar. There are 3 twin bedrooms, one with an en suite bathroom, the other 2 sharing a bathroom. Entering the hallway, an archway and 3 steps lead into the lounge with acess to a terrace, with a superb view of the sea. Beyond the lounge, is the dining room that sits 8, with sea view all around. Outside, there is covered dining terrace, with ocean views where you can enjoy a romantic/family dinner while watching the beautiful sunset. This terrace leads to the fenced and gated free-form salt-water pool with a fresh water shower, with the barbecue to one side. The 800m2 garden invites you to sunbathe and to play a match of ping-pong in our table. It is full of colourful plants and shrubs. House keeping 1xWeek. Air conditioning/heating at no extra cost. SKY Tv. A traditional Portuguese villa in an outstanding location for all the family to enjoy. Exquisite indeed, and surely a vacation dream house! Don't miss it!

This villa is in a residential area, just 900 yards from Carvoeiro's picturesque cove beach and a wide choice of good restaurants, bars and shops. It is close to all the amenities of this small but thriving location. There are several other beaches and places to visit in the area. It is in a perfect location for those preferring not to hire a car, having easy walking distances. For those who do, the villa is well located for numerous places to visit. For night-life, apart from many bars in Carvoeiro, Praia da Rocha is a bustling resort just beyond Portimão, with a huge beach and all kind of bars, clubs and entertainment. For children, a watermark is 5 and a half miles away, whilst for golfers there are 3 courses in the area - Vale do Milho, Pinta and Gramacho. You can easily acess the house by the freeway (named A22, or 'Via do Infante') or by the EN-125 road to Lagoa. Lagoa is only a five minute drive away from the house (located in Carvoeiro).

We stayed in this villa for a family holiday (grown up sons and their wives) and were not disappointed. It is in a fantastic spot right on the top of the cliff and within five minutes walk of the centre of carvoiero, where there is a very good choice of restaurants. It has wonderful views out to sea from most of the rooms and lots of space and loungers on the outside patios to be able to relax in comfort.
The villa was well appointed, spacious and clean and decorated in a very stylish manner, it also had a great covered patio area where we could sit in the shade on a hot day.
We also appreciated the large swimming pool and table tennis table which kept the family amused.
You can walk for miles along the coastal paths which start just outside the villa and there is a nice beach cafe within one minutes walk of the villa.
This villa is one of the best we have ever stayed in and we would definitely return.
