Beautiful self-catering cottage by River Tweed. Great views of surrounding hillls and fields from all rooms. Living-room has wooden floors and large glazed wall with with French doors leading to a decked seating area and private enclosed garden. Private parking close to entrance. Recently renovated with underfloor heating , beautiful en-suite shower and bathrooms, dishwasher, washer/drier, fridge/freezer, microwave, full-size electric oven and gas hob.

The cottage sits just across the road from the famous River Tweed and this beautiful valley is surrounded by fields of sheep and hills which are perfect for walking. There are lakes, waterfalls and resevoirs which provide very scenic drives and also allow fishing and sailing. It is wonderful for bird watching with many varieties including woodpeckers, kingfishers and ospreys! There are small country roads nearby and forest tracks which are great for cycling with the world famous mountain bike centres of glentress and 5 Stanes close by. There are also many wonderful historic castles, country houses and gardens with Dawyck Botanic garden and arboreatum and Stobo Castle health spa just 10 minutes away.

Notes: There is parking for 2-3 cars. Friends are welcome to join you! There are shops and restaurants within 10 minutes drive. The cottage is very comfortable even in winter with the underfloor heating system. The large windows and French doors in the living-room give lovely views to the garden and hills and you can sit and enjoy watching the sheep, birds and even the odd deer! There is a full-sized electric oven and a gas hob with 4 rings. Good enough to cook Christmas dinner!
