Nice holiday apartment

Owner's Response: This guest was disappointed, and, as a guest, he and his family were very disappointing because:
1. His daughters spread their dirty feet all over a freshly painted bedroom wall. It could not be removed without cutting into the paint below, so had to be repainted.
2. His family broke the parasol on the solarium.
3. They left a tear in the fabric of the sofa.
For this we retained only part of their modest damages deposit, but clearly they think they can act in this way and not be expected to pay for damage caused.
In terms of their "complaints" is is noted that these came only after it was made clear that they would loose some of their deposit.
As for the complaints:
i. A powerful air-conditioning unit was in place but they stated they would not require it because the fresh air from the sea would run through the apartment.It was removed with no complaint nor any request for its return during their stay.
ii. This family are complaining about something which was mentioned as a plus by the other deposit-loosers below ie., great area for clubs, restaurants and the like. Clearly this guest did not like the proximity of night life and may choose the countryside next time. The "noise" is of any city in any international location.
iii. When taken round the apartment by our agent, no mention was made of it not being clean. Our cleaners also clean expensive yachts and their standards are very high - fresh ironed bed linen, clean towels, cleaned windows and floors, polished metal in batrhroom and dusted. In what way "not very clean"?. The apartment was certainly not left clean - greas all over surfaces and floors, rubbish left, stained towels.
iv. Our agent was called out to supply a hari-dryer when told there was none only for us to find one where whe knew it to be. Their daughters clearly wanted 2 hair-dryers.

Our summary - this guest gets a zero on our standard scale. The loss of deposit is at the root of the "complaint" because not a word was mentioned during their stay.
