Hoopoe Cottage is a delightful 4 bedroom house with lake-front location in an award-winning development. It sleeps 8 adults comfortably, and two further babies or small children can be accommodated in cots. The large rear deck faces west, perfect for sunset drinks, and the living area and two of the bedrooms have stunning views over Clear Lake. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a wood-burning stove in the living room fireplace, as well as a tv with Freeview and DVD player. One bedroom also has a TV/DVD player as well as a play table and a selection of toys and books for younger visitors. The 450 acre private country estate (part of the Cotswold Water Park) comprises 7 lakes, abundant wildlife, and lovely walks. Access to the stunning Art Spa, with heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools, plus an eco swimming pond and wide range of treatments, is included. There are also tennis courts, a trampoline, football pitch and play areas, plus a farm shop selling local produce.

  • We are happy to offer short weekend (3 nights) and mid-week (4 nights) breaks during most of the year, and occasionally we accept 2 night breaks during low season. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE WEEKEND NIGHTLY RATE IN LOW SEASON LISTED ABOVE IS BASED ON A THREE-NIGHT BREAK. FOR A TWO-NIGHT BREAK THE NIGHTLY RATE IS £250. Please call or email for details.

    *** If you are interested in the May Bank Holiday and Spring Bank Holiday for 2010, please contact us directly for prices for those weeks, the full week price will be the same as Easter Week.

    Linens, towels, utilities and unlimited access to the Art Spa are included in the holiday price.Spa treatments must be booked directly with the ArtSpa and are at an additional cost.
  • Your booking is confirmed once we have received a 25% non-refundable deposit.Payment of the deposit can be made by PayPal or personal cheque.The balance of payment is payable by cheque or bank transfer six weeks prior to holiday start date.
  • A £120 (refundable) security deposit will be added to the total cost of the holiday, to cover any damage or if extra cleaning is required. Once the property has been checked at the end of your stay, this will be returned within 10 days.

Bedroom 4 has been adapted as a bedroom / snug for children or teenagers to have space of their own - there is a Freeview television with DVD player, a small playtable with stools, plus toys and books.There is also a booster seat for toddlers. The house sleep 8 adults comfortably, and we are happy to accept one or two babies or children as extra guests to make a maximum of 10 occupants. We can supply one travel cot and one fold-out single bed at the property, but you are welcome to bring your own cots or camp beds if you prefer.

There are lake beaches nearby, bicycle hire available, sailing/windsurfing/waterskiing/kayaking lessons, golf, angling and many more active pursuits. For quieter days out, there are stately homes, a safari park, Roman remains, great shopping, and wonderful local pubs and restaurants. When you book your holiday, we will supply as much information as you need to be able to plan your stay.

Summer Holidays: In the school Summer Holidays, our changeover day changes to a Saturday for weekly bookings and priority is given to people booking a full week's break.

This is the perfect location for a restful week. The house is really comfortable and beautifully decorated, and the surrounding area is beautiful.

We were a large party, but the house didn't feel crowded and the house was really well equipped.

We spent much of our time swimming in the pool at the Art Spa, or sitting on the deck enjoying the sunshine by the lake. A wonderful week, thank you.

We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. It was spacious enough
for eight of us and had all amenities to make it functional. The living areas were exceptionally clean and tidy. The neighbourhood is friendly and essentials are available on site. The cottage is highly recommended.

excellent location, facilities and house, although not the prettiest house as you arrive, once inside the quality of the decoration and amenities takes over - fantastic. We were a family of 10 + baby and had enough space for us all - the rooms were spacious and had enough places for the kids to play hide n seek!!! The children loved the swans on the lake especially when they came to the patio window to say hello! spacious enough for all 11 to fit around the table for Christmas lunch and play wii in the living room!! recommend the spa outdoor pool, especially on a cold, dark evening looking up at the stars - what an experience!! fantastic location .

Hoopoe cottage is wonderful house.

Hoopoe cottage is a beautiful house in a lovely tranquil setting. The house is well equipped and well placed for the Cotswolds or just for chilling out. The ART Spa is excellent for families and the local pub is excellent and very family friendly. We look forward to visiting the house again soon.
