Ski chalet for rent. Ideal for Winter or Easter skiing in small development with 2 bedrooms. Situated genuine 5 minutes walk from main ski lift and ski hire. Also benefits from being 5 minutes walk from apres-ski (shops and restaurants) of the pretty old town of Bansko. Spacious house of 87m benefits from 2 levels. Attractive open -plan sitting room with kitchen/dining table seating for 6 on ground floor with WC. Comfortable large L-shaped sofa (sofabed for 2) with wood burning fire great for the evenings by the satellite TV. Large french windows flood sitting room with light and open onto terrace. Kitchen has all mod cons. Upstairs 2 bedrooms (one double bed and one 2x single beds) with 2 bathrooms upstairs. Local management on hand to welcome you and provide essentials and housekeeping if required.

Nearest Airport: Sofia, Bulgaria at 75 Kilometres
Car: not necessary
Ideally located in the centre of Bansko, Bulgaria's premier ski resort. Bansko has benefited from an investment of Euro 50 million in a new Austrian lift system 3 years ago. There are 65km of pistes and new runs are added each year. The Pirin mountains are beautiful bachdrop to the medieval town of Bansko. Bansko is only 90min drive from Sofia airport. The apres-ski is excellent. There are dozens of attractive and welcoming old 'Mahaca' restaurants serving traditional grilled meats and fish on open fires all at great prices (Eur 10-20). There are many modern and trendy bars and clubs in the new part of town. Full buffet cooked breakfast in a new 4* hotel 1 minute from my house is £2 each, so Banskop is great value for money.All the pistes have snow canons guaranteeing snow from mid-December -end April. There are mountain top cafes and restaurant. English-speaking ski school is popular for beginners and intermediates. Ski passes and ski hire is half price compared to the French Alps.

we booked this house in bansko because we couldnt afford Europe with our 3 children and truthfully we didnt have high expectations........however what a fantastic spot...not quite ski in ski out but only 3 minutes away from the lifts..great for our children at the end of the day.the property was immaculate when we arrived (most of the fixtures seemed new)with the wood burner laid and ready to be lit.The beds were comfortable and it was in a quiet part of the resort so we all got a good nights sleep.The local rep was always on hand and very attentive even though we didnt need him.We were lucky with the snow and conditions were superb..challenging for all but the very best skiers but easy enough for beginners....overall probably cost a quarter of our comparable holiday in France......but in many respect was a lot more enjoyable...overall the property suited us very well and we will definitely stay again ... but next time for 2 weeks.
