Msida holiday apartment in Msida

The rain had stopped but the torrent was in full flow down the gutters,our taxi driver dropped us by the apartment and along came David dressed in shorts T.shirt no shoes and splattered with paint and a big smile on his face! to let us in and show us around.We had apartment 2,there is a lift to all floors. The apartment is very clean and basic the second bedroom has no window and the views are not spectacular from the front and rear windows anyway, but you can see the marina from the front balcony as you watch the hustle and bustle as the Maltese go about their daily lives.The welcome basket of food containing a bottle of water fruit ,bread,biscuits,ham beer, fruit juice, milk, I am sure he will include tea and coffee when he reads this review.The next nine days were sunny and warm. One of our party had the need of a Dr and David arranged for a visit from the doctor, taking the stress out of the situation for us.
The grocers shop 4 doors down, Mario the owner and his wife sell all you need to self cater rather than walk uphill to Lidl`s about half a mile away.A few doors past the shop is the Maltese cafe that does pizzas and various takeaways at very reasonable prices, They allowed us to stay and watch the football after the shop was closed!
The way to get around is by bus and they are just at the end of the road. A must for lovers of cream cakes is Busy Bee a short walk past the church a superb range of colourful pattiserie.

To sum up this was my second visit to Malta and our friends first and they enjoyed all they saw just as we did. The Maltese are very friendly and everyone speaks english.
