Skiing and winter sports:
Several ski areas are just a short drive from Il Melo, including Bolognola, Sassotetto and Santa Maria Maddalena (the latter has a ski school.)
Even closer, Servigliano often has an outdoor ice-skating rink in the piazza in December and January (check for exact dates) - an absolutely magical way to spend a winter evening.

The fantastic, fully equipped kitchen is just begging to be used. And if you love cooking but don't have the time to enjoy it at home then making a delicious dinner or baking with the kids while on holiday is a wonderful pleasure.
And if you fancy a change from cooking or eating out but still want to try the best local food, we can offer fine dining at home thanks to our two professional chefs. Rita’s family has lived here for generations and she cooks real local food for you using authentic ingredients, many of which she grows herself. Pauline brings a touch of the new world having worked at the Sydney Hilton as well as running her own coffee shop. They can arrange a welcoming meal for your first night, a grand dinner for a special occasion, ready prepared food for you to put in the freezer or just about anything else you need. And they can also do cooking demonstrations for children or adults. Ask for details
