Facilities include kitchen with fridge, microwave and cooker. Bed linen and towels provided. Ideal for touring the Silver Coast, historic Estremadura or Lisbon sightseeing. Only 5 mins from A8 motorway, 20min from coast and 35 minutes from Central Lisbon. Sintra, Cascais, Mafra, Obidos, Torres Vedra, Palmela and Golf at Estoril or Praia d’El Rey all within 1 hours drive. Horse Riding and Tennis within 5 minutes.

The quiet village of Ribas de Cima is 25 mins North of the airport and Lisbon and with easy access to both A1 and A8 motorways making it ideal for exploring this historic wine region and visiting the host of local sights, including Sintra and its Royal Palaces, Cascais and Estoril resorts, the Atlantic coast, Ericeira and Mafra. Golf at Estoril and Praia d'el Rey about 1 hours drive. Horse riding and Tennis less than 1km away. For history buffs the property borders Wellington's 'Lines of Torres Vedras' with its bicentennial in 2009.

If you like peace and tranquility this is the place for you. The cottage is in a rural setting with access to extensive grounds and is clean and comfortable. Perfect for getting away from it all. On top of that, the hospitality of Alice and Stewart was wonderful. I have already recommended this property to friends.

If you are looking for a cosy Country Cottage you have come to the right place. But if you are looking for a five star luxury Hotel you must look elsewhere.
The Cottage is well equipped it has everything you need. It is well maintained and kept clean.
You will experience a very relaxed atmosphere here. And Alice and Stewart are very hospitable and friendly hosts. They were keen to offer advice on what to see and where to go on tours.
Here you can discover a peaceful countryside and at the same time you are only a small drive away from Lisbon and the sea. It is a perfect jumping-off point for tours in the Lisbon region.
Our children also enjoyed playing with the dogs and looking for fresh eggs from the chickens.
