Gulf Harbors is a wonderfully kept secret and a hassle-free base to enjoy everything Florida has to offer. The house is a few minutes from the delightful town of New Port Richey, and just a few miles from Tarpon Springs with its sponge docks and Greek restaurants. Several state parks are close by with a good selection of beaches.Visit Howard Park in Tarpon or take a ferry from Honeymoon Island to Caladesi Beach (one of the top 10 beaches in America). Clearwater Beaches (30 mins) with miles of soft sand and everything from Para sailing to Speed Boat Tours. Orlando is a 90 minute drive, so after a few days of hitting the parks Windward Way is a great way to relax. Take a boat to the sandbar or Anclote Key. Plenty of local restaurants, shopping and sunsets! The Northern section of the coast up from Gulf Harbors is known as the Nature Coast, where a visit to the Crystal River to watch the Manatees is a must. A range of Golf courses are nearby, leaflets and guide books provided.

    HOLIDAY WEEKS: ,Easter, July 4, Memorial Day, Labor Day (6th Sept 2010),Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years - High Season rate.

    Discounts for bookings of 4 consecutive weeks or more are 5% in the High Season and 10% in the Summer Season.

    Rate assumes: A MINIMUM OF TWO WEEKS and a change-over day of SATURDAY. Arrival 4pm departure 10.00am.
  • RENT, DEPOSIT and TAXES

    UK Travellers feel free to request rates in sterling.

    1) A non-refundable deposit due at time of booking $500.00.

    2) The balance is due 8 weeks before check-in, your booking deposit becomes your security deposit of $500.00.
    (The deposit will be returned within 2 weeks after your stay, following inspection).

    3) There is a cleaning fee of $100.00, which is payable at the same time as the balance.

    4) Taxes: State tax is 7% of the accommodation charge, plus a 2% Florida Tourist Development Tax.

    5) Don't worry about working it out, we will provide a detailed breakdown on enquiry.

    6) Beach Passes, internet access, cable TV, solar pool heating and utilities all included.

    7) A rental contract will be sent to you to return with your booking deposit.

Caladesi Island and Gulf Harbors Private Beach: Caladesi Island 20 minutes down the coast, has been voted America's top beach 2008 on DrBeach.org. This tropical island is complete with nature trails, Florida wildlife, covered shelters, Cafe Caladesi along with a marina nestled amongst the mangroves and seabird sanctuary. The ferry runs from Dunedin Beach to take you across to the island. The Gulf Coast of Florida has a wonderful climate all year round. Passes are provided to give you access to the private beach with its covered pavilions, BBQ grills, restroom facilities and showers. Just a five-minute walk from your front door! Make sure to take time to catch at least one sunset on this west facing beach, don't forget your camera. This was an excellent house for a family holiday. There was 5 adults and 2 children (ages 5 and 9) and it worked really well. Very spacious, clean. Mostly we ate under the lanai which had sufficient seating for 8. The pool was a good size compared with some properties and was good to relax in after trips out or even to stay around for the day. The big dockside area was also a good place for sitting and enjoying the views, fish jumping and birdwatching. A boat would have been a bonus but were quite expensive so we had a dinghy just for fun and we did snorkel in the water. The house was well equipped with lilos and pool toys as well as 3 adult and 2 child's bikes.
Supermarkets only a mile away. Busch Gardens was an hour away and was good for all ages 5 to 65. Swimming with the manatees at Crystal River was a superb experience - also less than an hour away. Pirate Cruise at Clearwater good fun. Beaches in June were a little choked with seaweed although the local beach had good faclilities and good for kids collecting crabs etc. Other beaches recommended nearby were Honeymoon Island, Sunset Beach at Tarpon, (Howard Park was closed for repairs to the causeway).
Favourite restaurant was definitely Sams Place at Hudson. Lovely setting, the 2 waiters were so helpful and the food excellent. Captain Jacks at Tarpon was also okay but not so good that we wanted to go back during the holiday.
We would certainly recommend this for a relaxing family holiday away from busy places like Clearwater but also within easy reach.

Luxury Gulf Coast Villa

We stayed at this Villa for 10 nights as a party of six. myself,wife, son, son in law, daughter and niece and we all had a great time.
We stayed in New Port Richey two years ago in a villa that was disappointing but this one isn't.
Unlike the previous Villa's owner Don and Deborah were easy to deal with and everything that is advertised in their brochure is how it is.
Unlike the Rotunda near Port Charlotte where we have stayed over the last few years, New Port Richey has more to offer regarding shops, restaurants and things to do and still at this moment in time it is an unheard of jewel in the Florida Crown.
I would certainly recommend this Villa to anyone, nothing in the brochure is misleading, it is a beautiful location, great villa, pool is large compared to some and you can fish off the boat dock and yes catch fish.

We were all pretty sad when our holiday at this Villa ended, will definitely be coming back.

Superb Villa at Gulf Harbors

Just back from a fortnight stay at this villa.
Fantastic!
Villa was clean and spacious with all the amenities to make our stay feel like we were at home. Large screen HDTV's in 2 lounge areas meant viewing could be divided between sport and general entertainment with no arguments. Pool area became an excellent area to switch off and relax with lovely views over the pool to the waterway beyond. Location is far enough off US19 to be quiet and peaceful but not so far off as to be in direct contact with most major attractions and amenities in the area.
Local restaurants were abundant and within easy reach but some major brands like Outback and Applebees were a bit further afield.
Gulf View Square shopping mall is only a few miles North on the 19 and even bigger Countryside Mall at Clearwater not much further away in the other direction South.
All in all we really couldn't fault anything. Even the local contact was friendly, helpful and informative.
We had a superb time and came home relaxed and refreshed and looking forward to the next time we can get out there. Strongly recommend this villa for your next Florida vacation.

First of all, I can't thank the owners enough for all of their help and information. They made the whole propery rental experience very easy. Great people!!!!! This villa was a great place to stay! The pool was right outside our doors. It was very quiet area. The whole house setting was wonderful, spacious, comfortable and very clean! I was very happy with all the amenities. Everything was just like it was advertised and alot better. It was a GREAT experience! I highly recommended it for your next vacation!

Wonderful villa in Gulf Harbors

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at this villa.
Our first impression on entering was the size and spacious feeling. Much bigger than we thought. The description doesn't do it justice.
The property was clean and well-maintained and had a homely feel to it.
A very good customer service was provided with fast and efficient communication.
We particularly enjoyed the outside facilities, with several places to sit and eat, or relax, and the surroundings were quiet and peaceful. The pool was especially clean, with 2 visits from the pool man during our stay.
We ate out alot finding many different restaurants locally, Beef O'Brady's opposite the entrance into Gulf Harbors is worth a visit, we also went to Ruby Tuesday a few times, and many others, finding the local people as friendly as always and the food very enjoyable.
We drove to Orlando 3 different days finding the journey taking about 90 minutes, but were always pleased to return to the peace and quiet of the villa.
A drive is needed to visit good beaches, we visited Honeymoon Island and Clearwater several times. (Skip visiting beaches at the weekend - they get very crowded) The local beach at Gulf Harbors is pretty but not inviting to swim at due to a lot of weed.
One suggestion - if you are from Uk and enjoy a cuppa, take a travelling kettle with you. Florida villas don't seem to provide a kettle, so we bought one from Walmart and brought it home for future holidays.
We loved the villa and Gulf Harbors, so if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful holiday, with fishing and swimming on your doorstep, I recommend this villa to you.
