Ideally situated for château and wine tours with lakes, rivers and landscapes to explore. The area has been zoned as a Unesco World Heritage site and there's plenty to see and do for all ages.
There are countless leisure activities including walking, horse riding, golf, water sports, cycling, visits to historic buildings and shopping and its only a couple of hours away from the beach.
Only 20 minutes to Le Mans with its historic Jacobean centre, Roman remains and, of course, racing.
The local chateaux towns of Le Lude and Chateau du Loir offer picturesque views, boutiques, markets, shopping and historic monuments.
There are 2 other fabulous historic cities in the region, Angers and Tours, the former capital of France
Great area:
The property is just outside the lovely Roman town of Vaas on Le Loir river. Le Lude is a 10 minute drive from the property, offering spectacular river views, magnificent châteaux and boutiques, restaurants, bars and historic buildings, as well as superb markets. Le Mans, approx 20 minutes drive away, as well as being famous for car and motorcycle racing has some of the best preserved Roman walls in Europe and a magnificent cathedral in the old town.
The Loire Region is steeped in history and provides many attractions with its museums, abbeys, medieval churches, cathedrals, and troglodyte caves - all close by. And if you crave the beach its only about 2 and a half hours away.
You are ideally placed to visit all the vineyards of the region which produces light reds, white and rosé wines.
The river, lakes and forests accommodate those with outdoor interests. There is a wide range of water sports such as fishing, sailing, canoeing or swimming, jet skiing is less than a km away.
