For a selection of Restaurants, Bistro, Coffee shops, Wine Bars, Pub and Entertainment a visit to Poole's Georgian Quay should be considered, Poole Tourism Welcome Centre (Tourist Information Centre) is found on the Quay overlooking the water out towards the Sandbanks Peninsula, take a boats ride around Poole Harbour over to Brownsea Island and out into Poole Bay pass the Sandbanks peninsular, over to Bournemouth and the Isle of Wright or towards Swanage and the Purbeck Hills.
In and around Poole Harbour are a number of water base activities to participate in, from Sailing, windsurfing, kite surfing, to a Boat Tour around the Harbour.
A hours drive will take you to Stonehenge a prehistoric monument located in the English county of Wiltshire, about 3.2 kilometres (2.0 mi) west of Amesbury and 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) north of Salisbury. One of the most famous prehistoric sites in the world, Stonehenge is composed of earthworks surrounding a circular setting of large standing.
