Ski information:
The 'Evasion Mont Blanc' ski area offers 500km of slopes and 125 ski lifts from an altitude of 1000m to 2350m over St Gervais and Megeve and via the Mont Blanc tramway to Les Houches in the Chamonix valley. For those seeking a real challenge, the ski pass 'Mont Blanc' gives access to the whole of the Chamonix Valley plus Courmayeur in Italy.
The world famous 'Vallee Blanc' - said to be the longest ski run in the world at 23km , or the worldcup 'Kandahar' downhill run at Les Houches (only 16km away by road) are within easy reach.
Les Contamines Mont Joie Country Reserve provides yet more opportunity to enjoy this environment. A magnificent lake, natural glacier, forest trails and alpine pasture offer a wide range of environmentally friendly and educational activities for the whole family.

For non skiers there are hundreds of marked paths on the mountains for walking, a skating rink, ice hockey, sleigh rides and the picturesque towns of St Gervais, Chamonix and Megeve to explore and shop in.
St Gervais itself is a beautiful partially pedestrianised town with cobbled streets, tempting gift shops and numerous coffee bars, restaurants and patisserie's. The local supermarket is very well stocked and a larger 'Intermarche' is in La Fayette
The Aiguille du Midi cable car and Mont Blanc Tramway provide a high altitude thrill and sightseeing opportunity without the exertion of skiing. Take a good book and top up your tan while watching others ski.
The Thermal baths at nearby La Fayette are world renowned and rated as the 2nd best in France. In addition to treatments for rheumatic and respiratory conditions, there is a vast range of pampering treatments to choose from, including hydrotherapy, slimming wraps, massages and numerous beauty treatments.
The mountains in summer:
If the activities and beauty offered by the Ski Area Evasion was not enough, the country park area of Les Contamines/ Mont Joie Mountain Reserve provides the largest leisure park of the Mont Blanc Area. From here you can take a walking trip through the valley - with a donkey to carry your luggage!.
There is a lake for water sports, picnics, camping, evening concerts and pyrotechnic displays. All ages in the family can really enjoy the natural beauty of this unspoilt area.
Summer water sports are also available at a nearby lake with a beach.
