'The Granary' is part of an old farming hamlet comprising 4 buildings on hillside in the beautiful Blackdown Hills (designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). There are many picturesque Devon villages in the surrounding countryside. The ruins of ancient Dunkeswell Abbey are 5km away. The old WW2 airfield at Dunkeswell is now home to light aircraft, microlights, skydiving & karting. In July 1944 JFK's younger brother Joe Kennedy took off from Dunkeswell, never to return.
Nearby Wolford Chapel was built General John Graves Simcoe, who served as the first Lieutenant -Governor of Upper Canada between 1792 and 1796.
Dartmoor, Exmoor and the North & South Devon coasts are all within an hours drive.
