A perfect secluded villa holiday

We have just got back to England after 16 days at the Villa Jeromo in Nerja and wanted to write to tell everyone what a jewel it is!
Situated just north of the town of Nerja the villa is secluded but not isolated so you have total privacy but also security. It is positioned in a cluster of 3 other villas but none of the other villas overlook Jeromo. It is possible to walk to the town/beaches but probably not for the elderly or infirm, we had a car and wouldn't have fancied the walk, especially in the upper 30 degrees that we enjoyed throughout our stay.
All facilities are excellent, the beds are comfy and the bathrooms clean with plenty of shower pressure! Towels, sheets etc. all available and renewed weekly. The kitchen is fully equiped with more crockery and glasses than you could possibly use. Oven, microwave, fridge freezer all working perfectly. Free standing fans keep the villa cool and you can move them from room to room as needed.
But the big plus of Jeromo is the garden/pool area. There is a covered dining area which faces east so you get the morning sun and shade from midday onwards. We spent more time here than anywhere else. There is a beautiful lawn and a wonderful selection of trees, shrubs, ferns, roses, flowers, herbs and cactii. Just sitting there and watching the breeze move the leaves around was therapy in itself. The garden wraps around the villa so you have 4 separate but connected areas to enjoy. The pool is plenty big enough and spotlessly clean with loungers, umbrellas, tables etc, Outdoor showers by the pool with a palm tree as a ceiling is an experience in itself! - just around the side of the villa is a beautiful little courtyard with a terrific old olive tree where you can hang your washing (dries in about 1 hour).
Finally, the location. You can hear the distant sounds of Nerja but only just. Unusually for a holiday villa there is no noise from surrounding villas or noisy kids etc. Most evenings we sat with a glass of wine and listened to the abundant bird song around us. If you love nature, Jeromo is for you. We saw Hoopoes, Bea-eaters, Blackcaps, Bats, Geckos, Doves all without leaving our sun loungers.
The views are remarkable. To the north stand the mountains that change as the light changes and to the south is Nerja and the sea.
The owner, Antonio, could not be more helpful and the cleaning is discrete but thorough.
Do yourself a favour, experience Spanish villa holidays as they should be!
