Close to the centre of Haute Nendaz in the 4 Valleys ski area, includes: Verbier, Siviez, Thyon, Veysonnaz. Just 10 minutes walk to Tracouet telecabine. Other lifts easily accessed via free ski bus or short drive. Great summer location for walking, mountain biking, sports and relaxing. The luxury accommodation spans the whole top floor of a new apartment block. It is two mirror apartments which open up via a folding door into a large, inspiring living area with vaulted ceiling and large windows looking out to beautiful views, plus front balcony and 2 roof terraces. There are 6 double bedrooms, with 6 bathrooms, and 2 of the rooms have an additional double bed partitioned off. The 2 adjacent kitchen areas are fully equipped for self catering for 16. Rental includes use of the apartment block indoor swimming pool and sauna/steam room. Own lockable boot/bike room (heated boot warmers) and designated covered parking . The resort of Nendaz is at the centre of Switzerland's Four Valleys. It is less than 2 hours drive from Geneva or 20-30 minutes drive from Sion and can also be accessed by train to Sion, then bus to Nendaz. In the winter it provides you with around 412km of pistes across the mountains of Verbier, Siviez, Thyon and Veysonnaz. The resort is at 1365m-3330m and has an excellent snow record. Nendaz is a rare blend of family friendly slopes, spectacular scenery, challenging mogul runs and off-piste free-riding (Beginner 35%, Intermediate 50%, Expert 15%). In the summer the mountains are just as beautiful and offer an equally extensive network of hiking and mountain bike trails, also more gentle walks along the ancient Bisses. The apartment is next to the sports/leisure facilities and only a short walk to the shops (2 supermarkets just 5 minutes walk plus specialist food shops), restaurants (35), bars (7), clubs (3). In winter it is just 10 minutes walk to the Tracouet telecabine.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Cleaning, laundry and local tax are additional and payable locally in cash (Swiss Francs) to the housekeeper on arrival as follows (2009 charges):
    Cleaning charge for whole apartment= CHF 300
    Laundry (bedding, towels, bath mats, dressing gowns) are charged per person = CHF 20 each person
    Visitors Tax is per person, per day = 2 SFR adult or 1 CHF child (6-16 yrs). Children under 6 are free. This Tax is paid by us to the local Tourist Office.
    Rental prices are quoted in pounds. We also accept payment in Swiss Francs or Euros with the currency conversion agreed at time of booking (current rates).
  • 25% of the rental payment to be paid when you book, with the remainder due 8 full weeks before your rental period starts.
    Additionally, a deposit is required to cover any damage or unpaid cleaning charges. This is held by the owners during your stay and will be returned quickly once the cleaners have checked the apartment. Repairs or replacements are charged at cost price and a receipt provided. We do NOT charge for occasional breakages of small kitchen items e.g. a broken plate or glass. If breakages like this occur please let the housekeeper and/or ourselves know so that we can provide replacements for subsequent guests.
  • For smaller groups, up to 8 people maximum, it is possible to rent just one of the apartments (3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms), with or without the full living area (partition door open or closed and sound proofed) - please see Property 410129 on this site.

  • All bathrooms are on the first floor and are furnished in a contemporary style with storage space. 4 of the bathrooms are en suite and 2 bathrooms serve the upstairs rooms. The 2 full bathrooms (with both bath and shower) are ensuite to the family rooms (can sleep up to 4). Other bathrooms have enclosed showers. The whole apartment has underfloor heating and all bathrooms additionally have heated electric towel rails. In addition to large mirrors over the sinks there are magnified mirrors (with light). Towels and bath mats are provided. Adult dressing gowns are provided for bathroom and swimming pool. The heated indoor swimming pool is accessed via an internal lift, so you can change and go down in your dressing gown or alternatively there is a changing area with hot showers provided.

  • In the whole unit there is comfortable sleeping accommodation for up to 16 people, with 3 rooms and 3 bathrooms in each of the mirror apartments. On the first floor there are 2 double bedrooms with ensuite shower rooms; 2 family rooms with ensuite bathrooms and 1 double bed separated from 1 double bed (futon style on floor) by built in wardrobes and sliding doors. There are 2 twin rooms upstairs which have their own dedicated shower rooms situated at the bottom of the stairs. There is restricted headroom in the futon area of the family rooms and the upstairs twin rooms and therefore these rooms are particularly suitable for children. All rooms have ample storage space and all have a hairdryer. The twin rooms are both equipped with a TV monitor, DVD player (plus a PS3 Player in one). All beds have single duvets and the double beds are large/Queen sized. For smaller groups, it can be possible to book just 3 bedrooms in one of the apartments with the rates adjusted according -ad 410129

Notes: Large open plan living space has high vaulted ceilings & panoramic windows. It can be partitioned with sound-proofed doors. At both ends there are 2 comfortable sofas in front of a wood burning stove, plus HD LCD TVs with Sky satellite receivers, BluRay/DVD players. A selection of films & playing cards/board games is provided. In the central area there are 2 dining tables and chairs for 16 people. The 2 adjacent kitchens have Bauknecht appliances, each have: electric fan oven. hob, microwave, fridge, kettle, filter coffee maker, fondues, table grill. Kiitchens are fully equipped for easy self catering (includes large pans, cooking dishes). Guests will have access (internal lift) to the laundry room with washing machine (coin meter) and a dryer (free-no meter). As well as a ski locker there is a separate lockable room for other outdoor equipment e.g. boots, bikes & includes heated boot warmers. The 2 designated undercover parking spaces & 2 outdoor parking spaces are in prime position.

Summertime: Nendaz is a wonderful location for a summer holiday, an area of breathtaking scenery with forests and mountain lakes in abundance. There are 250 kms of signposted paths for walkers and cyclists. Particularly lovely are the easy walks along the 8 Bisses (98km of paths which run alongside the ancient water channels). There are a wide variety of activities available in addition to walking and cycling: golf,volleyball, climbing, para-ponting, tennis, horse riding are all available locally. Also a fabulous outdoor swimming pool within 3 minutes walk of the apartment. There are great excusions e.g. Sion, Montreux, thermal baths (e.g. Saillon), Lac Souterrain, Adventure Parks,vineyards. Both Sion and Nendaz have weekly street markets with a variety of stalls selling local foodstuffs & gifts. There are a number of events of regional importance, with strong local involvement, creating a rich atmosphere. Note: the lockable ground floor room is ideal for storing bikes, golf clubs etc

Nightlife: Nendaz has an abundance of very good quality restaurants available within easy walking distance of tha apartment. These cover a variety of cuisines including those offering local specialities as well as Sardinian, French and other alternatives. A number of these restaurants are recommended in the Red Michelin Guide . There are also a variety of lively bars. In the ski season, the local ice-skating rink is a couple of minutes walk from the apartment. In the summer there are a number of festivals -see Nendaz Tourist Web Site for details

Outside: The apartment has two large terraces with different aspects both with wonderful views across the mountains. There is also a covered balcony with its own spectacular views which runs along the front of the apartment. Tables and chairs are available for al fresco dining on the terraces, together with a BBQ and additional garden furniture (not available in ski season). The swimming pool is on the first floor and is accessible via the internal lift. The pool is about 20m long and loungers are provided on a sun terrace which has beautiful mountain views. There is also a sauna/steam room. In front of the apartment, there is a public playground for children and also a para-ponting landing area which provides entertaining views from the apartment. In winter, there is also a great sledging/bum boarding slope next to the apartment (sledges/bum boards provided). The apartment has 4 designated parking places in prime positions (closest to indoor doors), 2 of these are undercover.

Other Activities: Children play area and sports field next to the apartment block. Within 5 minutes walk: ice skating, para-panting, indoor and outdoor (summer) pools

Immaculate apartment, great skiing

This is a fantastic apartment for a group of families looking for high quality accommodation. Our group of 4 families (8 adults and 8 children) had a week long stay just after Christmas. The apartment was immaculately presented, spotlessly clean and nice and warm due to the under floor heating. The swimming pool/sauna/spa was a big plus, and great for chilling out after a long day skiing.

We mixed eating out at the nearby (very good) restaurants with self catering in the well equipped kitchen. There are several well stocked supermarkets local to the apartment, so eating in was easy. The living area has a high vaulted ceiling and with the large expanse of windows it feels a huge area - which it is, and with two large dining tables we were able to have a kids table and an adults table at mealtimes. Kids were also well catered for after dinner with a stock of DVDs and the games consoles.

Our party went from complete beginners to experts but Nendaz and its linked resorts suited all of us well. My children went to the Neige Aventure ski school where they were very accommodating. They moved my 4 year old up when he complained that his designated group was not skiing enough and gave full refunds for lunches and afternoons he did not attend.

Three of the four families drove down from Calais, some in one go. We stopped overnight at Dijon on the way down, and Troyes on the way back up – broke the journey up well. The others flew to Geneva and rented a car there.

There was significant snow while we were there but we had no trouble getting out the following day thanks to the excellent parking provision.

The owners were easy to deal with and provided lots of useful info. Thanks very much.

Our group of 13 adults greatly enjoyed our week-long stay at the penthouse apartment this month. The apartment was very clean, comfortable, warm, modern, and tastefully furnished. We cooked multi-course meals each night and found the kitchens to be extremely well-equipped.The owners and housekeeper were helpful and quick to respond with needed information. The apartment complex is well-situated within a short talk to the telecabin and village.
Our expectations were exceeded except for the low ceilings in the futon area of the two family rooms and the upstairs twin rooms (as the website says, better suited for children).
I would definitely recommend this property to a friend; our group may be back next year!

As good as it gets

The place is simply as great as advertised here. Outstanding views, very comfortable flat, and the residence provide excellent bonuses such as the pool & sauna.

The flat was spick and span when we got in and we got all necessary information (and even more) from the owner. Would recommend to anyone.

A very nice apartment, nicely furnished and equiped, located within easy walking distance to the ski lifts and shops. Great pool inside the house.

We found the apartment even nicer than we expected and overall we were more than satisfied.

Fantastic penthouse apartment

With the early snow we decided on a quick break before the season started. The owners were extremely helpful in giving us the chalet - a fantastic newly built penthouse apartment with stunning views, cosy atmosphere and everything you need for a great holiday. Easy 5 mins walk into Nendaz centre for the shops, restaurants, bars etc. and a short walk up to the main lift station. I imagine it would be as delightful in summer as it was in winter.
