Tavira region holiday cottage: Fonte do Bispo, Sta Catarina

The quinta is a converted farm with 6 self contained cottages, each sleeping up to 4 people. Situated within a beautiful valley, listed in the Michelin guide and recommended by Alastair Sawday's 'Special places to stay'. The 5 hectares of beautifully landscaped grounds maintain many original features from the original farm. The cottages themselves are set in tranquil gardens with many varieties of fruit trees and shrubs, all overlooking the swimming pool. There is a bar/bistro by the pool where breakfast is served and meals prepared upon request, with fresh local ingredients. There is a swimming pool, tennis court, games room, sauna and an elegant function room, used for weddings and parties. There is wireless internet access available. The quinta is well situated, 20 minutes from Faro airport, close to the motorway, with easy access to the entire Algarve and even Spain. There are many local attractions and excellent restaurants. Many beautiful beaches nearby and several golf course

Each cottage consists of a living room, shower room and bedroom. In the living room you will find 2 single beds which double as sofas, a log burning fire and a minibar. Bedrooms have twin beds, a wardrobe, dressing table and are air-conditioned. Shower rooms have a W.C. bidet, shower and wash basin.
