Photos and Description of this Nea Makri holiday villa Fully equipped two-bedroom villa. Fantastic view over Marathon bay.

Enjoy your best weeks of the year in this romantic self-catering villa, which has been completed in 2008. It is located directly on the seafront in Nea Makri, 30 km from Athens, has 2 bedrooms, 2 shower/WC and a sitting room/kitchen. In the sitting room there is a sleeping couch for 2 more persons. The house is equipped with central heating, air-condition, modern kitchen with all amenities and appliances, satellite TV, DVD, video, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave etc. The view from the balconies is breathtaking. The sea in front of the house is suitable to swim. There is also a small peer enabling small boats to approach. It is a perfect stay for small families and friends. The garden (2.000sq m) is covered with lawn, other Mediterranean vegetation, vegetable garden etc. In the same garden there is another detached villa, occasionally inhabited by the owner.The ground floor of the villa is suitable for elderly people (no stairs, a very spacious shower with anti-slip handles).

The villa is ideally located directly on the beach in the outskirts of Nea Makri. It is a 10 min drive to Rafina port from where you can visit by ship several islands (e.g. Mykonos, Paros, Santorini, Andros etc). There is a bus station right outside the property, but buses are not very frequent (about one every two hours), going to Athens or to the centre of Nea Makri (about 1 km) where you could rent a bike.Coffee shops and restaurants are 400 metres from the property.The airport is just 25 km away, a transfer can be arranged.

Cosy architecture: The architect,( several of her works in Santorini have been awarded international distinctions:- Perivolas houses traditional resort, has been elected three times by the “Traveller’s magazine” as “best hotel in the world”,- Vedema hotel, has been included in the “small luxury hotels of the world” SHL guide) has practically build the house around the huge cedar tree, forming something like a natural patio on the west side where you can enjoy nature under the shade during warm summers.

Places to visit: The owners, Tassos, a business consultant and his wife Ingrid, both in their late fifties, will be pleased to help you discover the interesting sites nearby, ranging from Marathon (site of the battle of Marathon in 490B.C). the start of the official Marathon race, the pine forest and golden sandy beach of Schinias, the Olympic rowing complex of the 2004 Olympic games, the Ramnounta sanctuary etc.

Fantastic Villa at the sea

We had a great time at Nea Makri. We arrived and our owner, Mr. Tasso and his wife Ingrid discribed everything. They gave us good advices. We lived in a villa full completed villa with everything we need. The garden with the olive trees was fantastic.
The aircondition was helpfully and the seaside was great for the children. So everybody of us loved that place and we hope to visit
Nea Makri soon as possible.

A secret paradise

Just returned from a wonderful week at this truly beautiful villa, comfortably furnished. Immaculately clean and with everything you need for a perfect holiday retreat.
The picturesque surroundings are unbeatable and the sea is only a couple of steps away offering a clear and fresh water, very suitable for children as the shore is not too deep.
We can pay no higher recommendation than to say that we will most definitely be back next year.

Fabulous Villa

We had a fantastic time at Nea Makri. The villa is the best equiped holiday house we have ever stayed in. The house was lovely and the garden is beautiful. The sea was safe and shallow for our children to play in and at the bottom of the garden, so we didn't have to go far.
Nea Makri did not feel overly touristy and had a great fish restaurant, although we did not eat out much as the villa's kitchen was so good.
Mr Evmiridis, the owner, was very helpful too.
We can't recommend this place enough.
