Just 15 minutes drive from the magnificent Silver Coast beaches, the villa is located in a quiet hill top village. It is extremely spacious with glorious views towards the sea. The entire house has been completely modernised and is luxurious yet totally comfortable. The large open-plan kitchen adjoins a huge family room. This leads directly onto the southwest-facing terrace and is the perfect place to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. There are large gardens, large sun terraces and an indoor barbeque room. The beaches at Sao Martinho, Salir do Porto and Foz d'Arelho have excellent facilities for families. Peniche is absolutely perfect for surfers. Nazare to the north is a popular beach with a funicular to the hilltop town. There are several historic sites of interest in the area. Several large supermarkets are situated in the nearby towns of Tornada and Caldas da Rainha. The villa is self-catering and totally secluded yet close to all amenities. The villa is located in a very quiet hilltop village with wonderful views towards the coast and inland. The local beaches are all sandy, the nearest being Sao Martinho (10 minutes) and Foz d'Arelho (15). Sao Martinho is a cove and the sea is always calm. Foz d'Arelho faces both the Atlantic and a tidal sandy estuary. Peniche is idyllic for surfers and many new facilities are being developed. All have excellent facilities. Nazare to the north is a very popular beach town with a funicular to the cliff top old town. Further north, there are many spectacular beaches hidden away. There are many historic sites locally. The nearest is Obidos, a magnificent walled Medieval city with narrow streets, shops and cafes. It is a truly magical setting and it is possible to walk round the city walls, if you have a head for heights!   • The main bedroom is extremely large with a cot. It has a wonderful en-suite bathroom and shower. This room has wonderful views. The two other double bedrooms both have ample wardrobe facilities and space for a travel cot. The third double bedroom has no windows, as it was previously used as an office. The twin bedded room has full sized single beds, making it perfect for all ages. All bedrooms are very spacious and well equipped with wardrobes and/or drawers. In addition, the dining room has a double sofa bed, for occasional use. In all, the villa can accommodate 12 people plus cot. All bed linen and towels are included. Separate towels for use on the beach are also included. There is a hair dryer.

Notes: The large kitchen is completely modern and is fully equipped with everything from vegetable peelers to cake tins. It has an American fridge/freezer which provides ice and iced water on demand. There is a table in the kitchen and seating for 5. Much larger eating facilities are available in the family room. The fridge is stocked with some essentials to get you started. The family room has satellie tv, games, puzzles, DVDs and books. These are all available for use during your stay. There is a large summer house in the garden with its own pizza stove, adjacent to the sun terrace. There are 2 barbecues in the garage along with cooking utensils . There is also an indoor pizza room with marble table and seating. This is a unique room which allows you to have the barbeque experience even if the weather is inclement! A Rare Experience

Don't be fooled by the modest aspect of this property from the end of the short country lane.
As soon as you enter the gate, you begin to realise that this is something special. First to hit you is the unexpected view West to the sea, from almost 400ft up.
Then, the beginnings of the long contour hugging, beautifully sculpted garden, which held a magical secret.
The house turns out to be huge and modern and could not possibly disappoint.
A car is definitely required. There are no restaurants or shops within walking distance and the nearest coast is a 20min drive.
Oh, the secret in the garden! At night, the fireflies in June turned it into a sparkling Christmas grotto. Quite magical.
