Christina One, built in 2008, is located in the beautiful Rauris Valley and forms part of the Schönblick Mountain Resort and Spa. Lying in the heart of Salzburgerland, in the Hohe Tauern National Park, Rauris is a superb dual-season resort offering not only skiing and other winter sports but also hiking, mountain biking, tennis, rafting and paragliding in the summer. Christina One is situated on the ground floor. The two bedrooms are furnished in traditional pine and sleep five (Bedroom 1 with King sized bed and Bedroom 2 with a set of bunk beds and a single bed) there is also a double sofa bed in the living room. The contemporary-style kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hob, fridge-freezer, microwave and dishwasher. From the open-plan living/dining area sliding doors open onto a terrace overlooking the resort village and mountains. Underground parking for one car with direct access to the apartment, on site laundry, spa, pool and bar.

The village sits at an altitude of 950m and from here a series of gondolas takes you up to the summit at 2175m. The English speaking ski schools in Rauris are some of the best in Europe and with plenty of wide, uncrowded pistes, the resort is perfect for families, beginners and intermediates. Cross-country skiers and hikers are equally well catered for, with 45km of groomed, cross-country piste and 48km of cleared winter hiking trails. For those wanting to venture further afield, some of the largest ski areas in Austria are within a 20-40 minute drive, including the resorts of Bad Gastein, Zell am See, Kaprun and Ski Amade. Rauris offers plenty to do when the snow melts. 295km of hiking paths cut across the mountains and through the Rauriser Urwald, a primal forest dotted with 80 secluded lakes. Cycle trails give access to the Pinzgau Mountain Biking Network, cycle hire is available locally. Why not try your hand a gold panning or join an exciting rafting tour?

Additional information about rental rates

  • Rental Rates include bedding, linen, towels, end of let cleaning and Tourist Tax.
    Daily cleaning and concierge services are also available, if you would like to take advantage of these additional services then please ask for details.
    Your reservation will be confirmed on receipt of a deposit equal to 25% of the weekly rental for your chosen rental period.
    The balance will be due eight weeks before your chosen rental period.
  • The reservation deposit, once paid, is not refundable.
    If you cancel your reservation after the balance has been paid and between 4 and 8 weeks prior to rental we will refund 50% of the rental rate minus the reservation deposit.
    If you cancel between 2 and 4 weeks prior to rental we will refund 25% of the rental rate minus the reservation deposit.
    If you cancel less than 2 weeks prior to rental, we regret we will not be able to provide you with any refund.
  • A security deposit of €150 in cash will be required when you collect the key to the apartment to cover loss of the key or small amounts of damage.
    This will be returned to you by our Agent when she has inspected our Apartment for any damage and you have returned the key.
    Our Agent will also take a swipe of your credit card as security against any further damage discovered to the Apartment..

The slopes face north-east, ensuring the snow stays in great condition, but snow cannons cover all the runs into the resort for added security. For those wanting to venture further afield, some of the largest ski areas in Austria are within a 20-40 minute drive, including the resorts of Bad Gastein, Zell am See, Kaprun and Ski Amade. It’s possible to ski in a different resort every day! Ski hire, ski school (English speaking) and lift passes can all be easily pre booked through our concierge service.

Great family skiing holiday!

Just returned from a week of Spring skiing in Rauris. This new apartment was great for our family, description was accurate, location for the ski lift was excellent and the inclusive additional on site facilities of pool, sauna, steam room etc were all a big plus for us. The apartment was well furnished and had everything we needed for catering for ourselves. The owner provided a really high level of information and Gaby, the local concierge, was excellent.
We ate out a few times and found the local hotels to be very welcoming even though we were not residents. We even found the Sommer Park in the village, which is a children's adventure playground which was slowly being revealed by the melting snow.
We will be back!

A perfect stay of two small families with big kids. Nice cosy appartment and all what we needed.
It would have been nice to have a rack or clothes horse to hang the skiing underware,- because we were at the ground floor and didn´t have a terrace banister to hang it on. But that was just a little detail. The sofa in the living room seemed a bit fragiole and we didn´t dare using it, but there were plenty of chairs to sit around the table to play games and so on. All in all perfect for us.

Great Resort, Great Skiing, Great Apartment

We found the whole holiday a dream from start to finish. Driving to Rauris from Salzberg was simple, we were met at the apartment by Gaby who ensured we had eveything we needed and pointing us in the right direction to the supermarket and good eating places. The apartment was nicely furnished with everything we needed, spacious, easily accomodated 5 people, very warm and ideal for our 9month old to crawl around in.
Having 2 skiing novices in the party, skiing at Rauris was ideal - lots of blue runs and virtually no lift queues.
We would thoroughly recommend this apartment and this resort.
Can't wait to return next year.
