Easy day trips to beautiful Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and even Rome. For shopping, only a 40 minute drive to the Prada outlet Montevarchi and The Mall Incisa designer outlets. For beach activities & National Parks, Lake Trasimeno is a 10 minute drive for hiking, sailing, canoeing & swimming on the lake and its islands. For local markets, the Camucia morning market is Thursday, the Cortona market is Saturday. Cooking lessons, wine appreciation, olive oil tasting, Italian lessons, all available on site or within a 5 minute drive of villa. Thermal baths nearby in Montepulciano.

All bedrooms have air conditioning except the 2 that are partially below ground - these are cool year round and only require ceiling fans. Also internal AND external shutters on every bedroom window; these allow for total sun black out and your choice of leaving the windows opened or closed depending on your preference for fresh air or air conditioning while you sleep. Bedrooms 1 & 2 are next to each other as are bedrooms 5 & 6. For families, parents can stay in Bedroom 1, with two kids in bedroom 2; parents in bedroom 5, two kids in bedroom 6.
