Geographical context ideal to appreciate the multitude of the variegated and unique Sicilian scenarios, which covers from the lunar landscapes of the “Bove” valley on Etna top to the natural reserves of the emerald green waters of the Mediterranean sea just in the surroundings. You can sweep from the Greek beauties of Taormina and Siracusa to the black stone baroque of Catania and Noto architecture. In winter you can go skiing on Etna tops and admire, from the Volcano peak, stunning views & enjoy the beauty of the isle being far from the messy periods, with mild temperatures.In the summer sea & water sports together with excursions on the burning lava streams and for the children amusing excursions to the aquatic zoo park.In spring time we do suggest to live an unforgettable experience: go skiing during the day and lay on a sandy beach in the afternoon. You can also warm up practicing some trekking, mountain bike and sailing. In Autumn gourmet conventions & cultural tours, music fests.

Golf: The Owners are members of the PICCIOLO GOLF CLUB at 20 minutes by car. It is possible to book on request. The Picciolo Golf Club is the first golf course built in Sicily. The beautiful 18 holes are among oaks, hazels and vineyards. Volcano Etna is the great attraction of the course, it dominates almost every hole and also allows the fantastic emotion of discovering lava flows all around from time to time. At a height of 650 mt above the sea, the fresh air which cools in summer allows to forget the frenetic rhythm of the town. At approximately 4 km there is the town of Linguaglossa, point of departure of most of the excursions to Mt. Etna. On the other side, one of most extraordinary monuments of nature: Alcantara Gorges, a terrific natural phenomena with caves and falls. At 25 km there's Taormina, shining like a precious jewel. Arriving at Catania airport, to reach Il Picciolo you can have a look over the 'Lemon Riviera'.

What a wonderful villa in a beautifil town! Viagrande has everything you need - supermarket, bakery, restaurant, beautiful park. What made it so amazing was the warm welcome from Valerio and his beautiful home. The villa is very spacious with a beautiful kitchen, lovely living room, comfortable bedrooms, and glorious gardens. Thank you to my new friends Valerio and Maria.

Wonderful rental property

Our family of 5 members rented Villa Idria during the last week of October and we are completely enthusiastic about it. The house is in a very quite location, has a big garden with trees and is in a village with all facilities.It is a very spacious house, totally convenient for a family with children, excellent bedding, large and well-equipped kitchen and beautiful living-room decorated with taste and spotless clean. It gave us that "like at home feeling", that really makes the difference! The welcome we received from the owner at our arrival and the contacts we had with him during our stay were exceptional.
Viagrande is a very good choice if you plan to visit the east coast of Sicily: all main sites are easily reachable from there. Etna, Villa del Casale, Taormina and Siracusa are a must in your visits.
We strongly recommand you Villa Idria. No doubt you will be delighted.

Very relaxing and enjoyable stay!

Thanks for your warm welcome, we really enjoyed our stay in your lovely house. We only stayed four nights but very quickly felt at home and found our stay really relaxing.

As a family of five we had plenty of space, both inside and out, and enjoyed eating alfresco on the terrace and in the shade of the pines.

The house was furnished to a very high standard, very well maintained and well located for sightseeing - Catania, Etna, etc. Supermarket and restaurants very close.

We can definitely recommend!

A delightful stay in Villa Idria

The Villa was exactly as described and located in a pleasant residential neighbourhood but conveniently close to the amenities in the town of Viagrande. The house was very clean and well maintained and the owner dealt promptly with the two very minor problems we experienced. I would have no hesitation in recommending Villa Idria to a friend or anyone who was looking to stay near Catania. We visited Taormina and Syracusa and, of course, Mt. Etna.

We really enjoyed our stay at your house. Its a beautiful place with a huge garden. It feels like our second home. We felt very welcome. The hirers were very, very nice and lovly. The only thing we dissliked was to leave this beautiful house when our holidays were over. We would love to come back. Thank you for nice holidays.
