Sandbar retreat

Stayed in Salcombe for the last few summers and found the location of Sandbar apsolutely ideal. It is close to the shops, the ferry, restaurants and car parks. The view was good and the outlook could not be better for a seaside stay. The flat was very clean and tidy and had everything you needed to make your stay as good as it gets. The rooms are spacious with plenty of natural light, and we had plenty of room to just lay back and enjoy our stay. This is the best place we have stayed in the years we have been coming to Salcombe. We particularly liked the fact that the Flat had charm but also had modern items such as the internet which we now tend to rely on. Will be booking again.

This light airy 1st floor flat proved to be the perfect base when we spent a week in quintessentially English-yachting- town Salcombe. With so many breathtaking views, sandy coves and charming walks, we didn't venture out of Salcombe and our car stayed safely in the long term carpark during our entire stay. This comfortable flat has everything on the doorstep and gives easy access to the heart of Salcombe, its ferry and nearby beaches and boating. Eating wonderful seafood was a treat in many of the nearby restaurants and cafés. Can't wait to go back!

Our holiday at Sandbar

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this pleasant, well equipped and spacious apartment. It is ideally situated for shops, restaurants etc and for the lovely walks nearby. You can glimpse boats sailing in the estuary, from the lounge window, which certainly is a plus.

Great location for exploring Devon and Cornwall

The accommodation was very well designed and included everything you should need for a break in Devon. There were only a couple of downsides to the accommodation namely; the seagulls did not tend to sleep and could be heard through the night; the flooring to the upstairs was not sound proofed and meant you could hear the family above jumping about, as well as the washing machine going. the only other downside was the limited light coming into the apartment. Overall we were very happy with the accomoodation and salcombe was a beautiful location with great shops and restaurants. Parking is a bit of an issue, as it is in many of the small villages, but the long term park can be paid for on a weekly basis and is an easy 5 monute walf from the accommodation.
I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a good base to explore the south west of England.
