A relaxing apartment in Scotland’s capital, ‘Number 64’ is situated in Edinburgh’s Comely Bank area, close to the former village of Stockbridge. This 2 bedroom apartment is a 10 minute walk from the city’s Princes Street and West End. Nearby you will find shops, restaurants and galleries including the Dean Gallery and The Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art. If you fancy a break from the hustle and bustle of the city, the Royal Botanic Gardens, Inverleith Park, the Water of Leith and historic Dean Village are within walking distance . Number 64 is located in a stylish 1940’s building and has been recently redecorated. Inside the fourth floor apartment (don’t worry there is a lift!) you will find 2 large double bedrooms, a comfortable lounge and dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. There is also a full-sized bathroom with a shower over the bath. Number 64 offers everything to make your stay, whether it be for a few days or a week, a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

  • A Saturday changeover preferred for week long stays. Arrival is usually after 4pm and departure by 11am (special arrangements will be considered on a individual basis).
  • Payment is made by cheque in Pounds Sterling (£) to Sarah Henderson, or by bank transfer if preferred. A deposit of 25% of the total rent must be paid on booking. This is non-refundable should the booking be cancelled. The remaining balance is to be paid two weeks before arrival.

Accessibility: Although not specifically constructed for persons with mobility difficulties, there is a lift to the fourth floor. Main front access to the building is by way of two steps; however, the rear of the building does have a ramp, so would be suitable if a person was unable to use the front stairs. There are private, well maintained grounds surrounding the apartment building.

Coast/Beaches: The nearest beaches to Edinburgh are at Cramond and at Portobello, just outside the city centre. Both beaches are easily reached by bus or taxi.

Golf: Gullane, Muirfield and North Berwick are all within an hour's drive of Edinburgh. Other famous courses which can be reached - and returned from - within a day include St Andrews Old Course and Gleneagles. If you are looking for local golf courses, you can play on one of Edinburgh's many public courses, including Braid Hills, Craigentinny and Silverknowes.

This apartment is exceptional. Situated in a good location being only a short walk into the New Town. It comfortably housed our party, whom consisted of two couples and a 15 month old baby. We found it to be well equipped, well maintained with quality furnishings and bed linen, towels etc and spotlessly clean - better than a hotel because it gave us that taste of edinburgh city living feeling. Thank you Sarah for a lovely stay you have thought of everything.

This is a lovely apartment in a 1940's block with lots of character. It is only 10 mins walk away from the centre, but in an incredibly quiet location. The apartment was very clean and well furnished with high quality bed linen and towels. It is more spacious than it appears in the photos. There is a large garden at the back for the use of tenants, which may be of interest for those with younger children. There is also parking available which is unusual for Edinburgh city centre. The welcome pack of groceries was much appreciated and all the essentials such as tea, coffee, sugar and milk were provided. Sarah, the owner was incredibly helpful,advising on what to do in the area and provided lots of information leaflets. I would whole-heartedly recommend this apartment - we plan to return!

Great Edinburgh apartment

We had a fantastic three nights in this excellent apartment. It was superbly comfortable and well appointed, and the welcome basket of goodies much appreciated. Many thanks also for having a cot for our little one to use; it made life much easier for us. The range of guides to and information about the city was very helpful for us to plan what we would see during our stay. As well as being an easy and pretty walk in to the center of Edinburgh, the apartment is very close to a great supermarket and little shopping strip on Raeburn Place. Good chippy there too. I would highly recommend this property for anyone’s stay in Edinburgh.

We were delighted with the accommodation at Number 64.

A great deal of thought had been put in,every detail was perfect.

Location was ideal,we only used the car once in the week we were there.

We had an absolutly amazing time at the apartment and couldn't beleive just how nice everything was.

All beds very comfy. Both bedrooms really nice and beautifully decorated with lovely attention to detail. Fully equiped kitchen with everything you could possibly need for an amazing stay in Edinburgh.

The Location is great- only about ten minutes walk into town.
Excellent - would hughly recommend and will definatley be coming back!
