Stunning 3 bed villa in Altea Hills resort perched on the pine clad hills overlooking the sea and the wonderful facilities of this lovely resort. You can enjoy all the facilities the resort has to offer such as an active tennis club, health club, spa, large communal swimming pool and the lovely marina with it's several restaurants. The villa has a large terrrace off the dining area and two other terraces on the floor below where there are 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms. The villa has all the mod cons one needs to enjoy their holiday including a BBQ for guests. There is a supermarket withing a 5 minute drive of the villa. The beautiful town of Altea is a 10 minute drive from the villa and there you can find a multitude of facilities and lovely things to see. You have a choice of beaches nearby including the white sandy beaches of Calpe, only a few minutes drive away, and the pebble beach beside the nearby marina.

Buganvillas is situated in the luxurious Altea Hills. The 5* Melia Hotel is just 5 minute walk away.The town of Altea is just a short drive where you will find the beach and a lovely array of shops cafes and bars. The historic town of Altea is 3kms full of restaurants, shops and art galleries. It has a palm lined promenade and marina. The old town of Altea is very impressive with its tiny streets and famous square which houses a beautiful blue domed church.

A five minute drive brings you to the Golf Don Cayo Club (+34 965848046) a lovely 9 hole course. Also there are other golf courses in the area.

A 20 min drive brings you to the famous Benidorm which has lots of theme parks such as Terra Mitica (thrill rides)

Mundomar (dolphin shows) and Aqualandia (Water Park). Today Altea has a permenant population of 13,500, is located just north of Benidorm and is on a steep hillside 500 meters from the sea and above the modern beachfront developments.

About the area:

The historic town of Altea is 5kms away, and is full of restaurants, shops and art galleries. It has a palm lined promenade and marina. The old town of Altea is very impressive with its tiny streets and famous square which houses a beautiful blue domed church. Take your time to check out the best restaurants in the area. There are many lovely places to eat and close by the villa is the marina with several restaurants at different proce levels.

A 20 min drive brings you to the famous Benidorm which has lots of theme parks such as Terra Mitica (thrill rides)

Mundomar (dolphin shows) and Aqualandia (Water Park).

Directions:

From Alicante, take A7 or E15 towards Benidorm and Valencia.

Follow road through tollbooth and take junction 64 Calpe/Altea. Follow N332 looking for signs for Altea Hills.

Turn into Altea Hills and head towards Altea Hills Hotel. Guard at security gate will direct you to the villa. Drive from Alicante Airport is less than one hour.

Services:

All major budget airlines fly daily to Alicante. Monarch, BMI Baby Easyjet, Jet2 and Ryanair just to mention a few.

Car hire is in abundance at Alicante Airport. Lots of car rental companies can be found on the internet, such as Hertz, Victoria Cars, Carjet amongst many others.

Or why not take a taxi for the 30 min transfer to the Villa. It will cost around 50 Euros.

Golf:

A five minute drive brings you to the Golf Don Cayo Club (+34 965848046) a lovely 9 hole course. Also there are other golf courses in the area.

Other Activities:

Visiting the mountain villages with their rich culture, this is the real Spain to enjoy.

Good location. Altea H = nice resort.

The location is excellent, although a liitle far away from communal swimming pool - which is also excellent.
The house needs some updating in the inventory i.e. the china is could be more stylish. The house was clean at arrival, but has missed its 'spring' clean. Not suitable for high allergic people as some of the beds/mattrasses had dog/cat hear on it. Overall : I have seen much worse. So for the money asked a fair price.
We have noticed that the owner is cleaning/painting but was not (yet) finished.
Beds are rather hard. I liked that, my wife didn't.
I would put a private pool next to the house.
Excellent place as starting point for trips to beaches etc. 10 golf courses in the area (GF's from 20 euro pp)
Recommended for:  Tourists without a Car

Villa Holiday in Altea Hiils

We have just enjoyed a fabulous holiday in this villa. Plenty of space inside & out for our party of 4 adults and 2 children (aged 10+) and our guests. All bedrooms were spacious, comfortable and had sufficient wordrobe/storage space. The kitchen is very well stocked with cutlery/crockery & glassware - although dry food storage was a little limited. Large fridge/freezer was great.

The communal pool was usually very quiet so we very much felt like it was our own - the short walk, whilst hot and up hill was manageable. The only downside is that the main pool is deep throughout (5ft+) and the children's pool was approx 2ft - with no shallow areas on either pool, so the larger pool maybe not be ideal for very young children but great for diving! Local supermarket also nearby although for the full range of foods (fresh seafood etc) you need to go into the main town supermarket.

Altea Hills is an ideal location, with the picturesque old town, the marina and the coast only a few miles away with the attractions of Aqualand, Terra Mitta (theme park) and Benidorm (Beni York) also within an easy drive. All are great days out for all the family.

The local hotel has a small (basic) gym, squash & tennis for those looking for some activity on holiday - the run back uphill to the villa is not for the faint hearted! All have local charges payable (as does the hotel pool) - ask for details of any deals on offer if you intend to use on a few occasions as it's cheaper than paying on each visit - not something we were offered until too late.

Great restuarants tested: Oustau (Altea old town), La Table and Indigo Fusion (Altea seafront).
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers

Wonderful Accommodation

This is a wonderful villa in the Altea Hills. The property is very well equipped and tastefully furnished. The shared pool is just a short walk away and most days we had the pool to ourselves. Sitting on the terrace at night time with a glass of wine and looking out across the bay is true relaxation. The property is exactly as described and very clean and well maintained. You do need a car however as the villa is in the Altea Hills area and quite a distance from shops and the resort of Altea. I really couldn't fault the villa in any way and would highly recommend it except perhaps to anyone with mobility issues as there are some stairs (to the front door and to the bedrooms). Perfect for a relaxing break. Communication with the villa owner was also excellent.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway
