Casale Poppello is an ancient country house, made of local antique bricks, measuring approximately 300 sqm and still preserving it’s antique name. Thanks to the successful restoration and the choice of materials for the internal finishing, such as terracotta and wooden beams, the house has been given a new life. Casale Poppello is inserted in one of the most beautiful areas surrounding Cortona, there were the plain of the Chiana makes place for the delicate land of wine, giving rise to one of the most classical Tuscan landscapes. The recovery of the structures has allowed to bring back to life the different parts of the house by transforming the antique, rural spaces into comfortable environments, where you can absolutely spend special vacations. At sunset, the house acquires a magical light thanks to the rosy colour of the antique bricks and the beautiful surrounding nature. The furniture consisting of antiques, beautiful landscapes, which made this part of Tuscany so famous.

The Location is an ideal starting point for who wish to have nice daily trip and sightseeing all over South Tuscany and Umbria as well: being the city of Cortona located not far either from the motorway A1 (exit Valdichiana) and from the super way Siena-Perugia. Very well known site like Siena, Montepulciano, Pienza, Montalcino, Perugia, Assisi and so on can be reached in less than hour driving as well as the hidden and maybe most beautiful corners of this 2 regions. Big cities like Firenze or Roma can be easily reached also by train (and we suggest to use it in high season to avoid traffic roads) being Cortona served by 2 train railways stations. Above all we are quite sure that you will fall in love with the ancient atmosphere of this beautiful town. All shops and facilities in the big village of Camucia, nice restaurants, bars, cafes, shops in Cortona. Supermarket are open also on Sunday morning.

Park: Casale Poppello has a park of approximately 5 hectares; the area maintained as a garden of about 5.000 sq. m. Please note that the property is not fenced.

Swimming Pool: Open from the last Saturday in April until the first Saturday in October. The swimming pool measures 5 x 10 m, with a maximum depth of 3 m, it’s perfectly exposed, surrounded by a well kept lawn and provided with quality furniture. Also in this area is a gazebo, umbrellas and a large fitted barbecue for meals by the pool.
