Train access: Paris to Les Arcs-Draguignan station can be done in one hop without any stops taking 4 hours on some TGVs. Les Arc is about 20 minutes by taxi from the villa. This makes travelling on Eurostar and onwards an interesting and fairy quick trip. Car trains down to Avignon/ Marseille are also fun rather than driving all the way down but not throughout the year
Plane access: Budget airlines to Nice Airport or to Toulon-Hyeres Airport or Marseilles airport and hiring a car is easy. The time to drive in a hired car from Nice is about one hour and less from the other two airports. Hyeres/Toulon airport is close to the beach where there are nice little beach restaurants....
Road access: We are only 5 minutes from the A8 (east -west South of France motorway) where the A57 splits off from the A8 at Le Luc/Le Cannet des Maures sign. Driving down through France is pleasurable only if you stop off on the way and visit an area-in our opinion. After all holidays should all be restorative and fun after all! If you come by ferry to Northern Spain then also enjoy a stop off at or near the Atlantic coast on your way across south west France or take time to see the Gugenheim museum at Bilbao (close to Santander) on the way.
Golf: There is a council course in the valley a few minutes from us in Le Luc with a driving range, but for good golfers who don't want to pay the earth on the coast, try Barbaroux at Brignole (30 minutes drive) or the course just outside Le Muy (40 minutes drive) not far from a very chic restaurant/Hotel called Penaforte.
Other Activities: Kayaking on the river just north of Thoronet village. Need to bring own bikes.
