This very clean Amsterdam family apartment is on the third floor (without elevator) of an historical art nouveau building.It offers spacious rooms. A large sleeping room with king size bed and another smaller room with a double bed. The kitchen is fully furnished with dishwasher as well as a sunny balcony facing the inside gardens. The complete bathroom is on shower. The living room-diner has a large table for your meals, a sofa bed sleeping 2 persons, facing the square with great city view guaranteed! This colourful large apartment is inside the city ring, located in Midtown Old-West, 15 minutes to Central Station by tramway (passing the Jordan, Anne Frank, the Dam square) . Or walk 20 minutes to the center. This is a budget accomodation in Amsterdam.

good budget apartment 15 minutes from center

The apartment is large and spacious. The furniture is simpel but everything is very clean. The stairs to the apartment are steep. I do not recommend it for people with heavy luggage they can not carrey. It's on the third floor and that is an exercise in itself. But you do get great views on the square and the city.
The host is very helpfull and takes time to explain the area, public transports and attractions. The big supermarket is on the square. We notice an international comunity and there is good choice of etnic restaurants and shops. The large square is under major renovation until Spring 2010, but the good windows block all constructions and traffic noise. I recommended to everybody who wants to have a good rest after visiting in the crowded city center. It's possible to walk to the center in about 20 minutes and renting a bike is a nice experience. Live like the locals!

Excellent value for money in this large apartment. Very clean and very nice agent. No time waiting at the door and we received all the practical explanations.The location is easy to reach and close to the center. On the large square just at the end of the important street, going strait on to the Wester Kerk and Damsquare. No worry to get lost along small streets, canals and bridges.
I recommend this apartment for any group or couple as a alternative for crappy hotel rooms. For the same price of an hostel, you have here privacy, space, a fully equipped apartment and bright views.
