The hilltop village of Montebenichi:
This charming medieval hilltop village is located in the heart of Tuscany at the south east end of the Chianti hills. The landscape round about is made up of vineyards, olive groves, wheat fields and, woods. This is a part of Tuscany that has hardly been touched by tourism.The village features a small 4 - star Boutique hotel across the piazza from the property, as well as a Tuscan speciality restaurant. Montebenichi lies halfway between Arezzo and Siena. Driving to both towns takes 30 - 45 minutes. The thermal spa town of Rapolano ( sulphuric-calcium waters at 38C ) is nearby. Places of interest such as Florence, Cortona, Perugia and Assisi can be reached in a 1 to 1 1/2 hours drive, as can be the Mediterranean beaches.The Autostrada del Sole (A1) is 25 min. away and the dual carriageway Siena-Perugia, that links up with the A1 a 10 min. drive from the house. Four international airports are within easy reach:Florence & Perugia (1 hr.), Pisa & Rome ( 2 hrs. ) by car.

There is a comprehensive easy to use information package for the active sightseer including cultural, sports and culinary activities in the house and available via e-mail beforehand upon booking ( after payment in full). A good selection of guidebooks and maps are at disposal and a small welcome basket provided upon arrival. The house has been carefully modernized to include up to date amenities without loosing its historic charm.
Casa Gorizia Detail:
The entrance of the house gives into the kitchen with a small dining area. The bathroom is located in a room off the kitchen. The living room upstairs features a fireplace with wood burning stove and sofa-bed
( single use only ). The bedroom reached by stairs from the living room is placed on a gallery overlooking the two story high living room. There is a small terrace furnished with a table and 2 chairs outside the entrance overlooking the piazza.
