Photos and Description of this Menton holiday apartment It is our dream holiday haven so we like to share it with friends who return.

A beautiful bright spacious apartment. Almost on the sea - prom, with magical views to Monaco and Italian Alps from 2 large balconies off bedroom and lounge. Small 2nd bedroom en suite. Swimming in bay across the road. Cosy and warm in Winter with underfloor heating. Menton is on the borders of Italy, has 300 days of sunshine and is famous for its lemons and protective mountains which help to create this micro climate. The apartment is on the prom, 5 minutes walk from the town fashion shops and casino and beside restaurants, and markets. The old Italian town and vieux port are 10 minutes walk away and are full of atmosphere. Monaco takes 15 minutes by bus. The famous and spectacular Corbusier walk along the coast to Monaco takes one and half hours. Local & tour buses visit a number of picturesque hillside villages like St.Agnes, Gorbio, Dolce Aqua and Mercantour Park.

Notes: Le Pamela is used by family all year round. It is bright and sunny with magical views of the ocean towards Monaco and Italian alps. Summer is wonderful there as we sun and swim across the road. Restaurants are affordable so we eat out but love to dine in as well! There is constant hot water and for cooler times there is underfloor heating right through the winter so it is lovely from November through to March also. The lift is ideal if we do not want to climb to the 2nd storey!

Apartment is bright and airy, We often felt we were on a cruise ship with wonderful sea views from the front balconies. It was good to have two shower rooms and toilets. All rooms were very comfortable and gave one a feeling of home rather than a formal hotel.
Great location being only about 15 minutes walk from the old town where there are many nice restaurants and gift shops Easy links to bus and train and most walking is on one level. Pretty beach just across the road.
Phena was most friendly and helpful in her e mails when we booked and provided lots of useful information before we went and left more in the apartment. There is some noise from traffic but it did not interfere with our enjoyment of the location.

most enjoyable "sejour" on Cote d'Azur

My friendds and I spent 2 wonderful weeks in July in Le Pamela. We had received excellent instructions from owner (Phena?). The airport coach left us almost at apart.doorstep and on arrival we were met by a most helpful person so everything went v.smoothly. We were instantly struck by stunning views from balconies- one over to Ligurain coast, the other to Monaco and Cap Martin. We quickly settled into a gentle routine: early swim across the road, visit to the local shops (boulangerie 3 mins.stroll) and lfollowed by a long, leisurely breakfast on the sun-soaked balcony. The town is only a few mins.walk with lots of interesting shops and most enjoyable walks along a mini version of the Promenade des Anglais. We especially loved the old Italian town with its magnificent basilica and narrow, medieval streets. We found the local (covered) market fascinating - a real feast for the eyes! Public transport is excellent and v.reasonable so we often went on tours to Nice and local historic villages like Eze and San Remo (just across the Italian border). There are lots of good, reasonable restaurants- we esp.loved Le Balico in La Place Aux Herbes which is full of atmosphere.
