The house is on the popular tourist trail, the Walnut Route, within 15 minutes drive of many of the key sites in the Perigord Noir. It is a spacious, well equipped, comfortable home, on 3 floors, within enclosed gardens of about one acre. You can rent canoes half a mile from the house. Roque Gageac is 1 mile away and has been voted France's prettiest village on several occasions. Many local restaurants are within ten minutes at La Roque, Domme and Cenac. Sarlat, a charming medieval town and centre of the Perigord Noir, is 15 minutes away by car. This is Richard the Lionheart territory with striking castles, hilltop bastide towns, prehistoric caves, canoeing trips with riverside beaches, perfect for a swim and picnic, tree high wire parks, swimming (pool or river), fishing, walking, cycling, hot air ballooning, local markets, outdoor theatre, concerts, golf and an aquarium. The balconies are a place we enjoy at the end of the day watching the sun set on the cliffs of La Roque Gageac.

Ground Floor Accommodation: The basement studio is more simply furnished than the rest of the house with a small kitchen containing a fridge, dishwasher, gas hob and surface mounted microwave / grill. There is a small table and chairs, a sofa, a double bed, a wardrobe and an ensuite shower room and toilet.

Property location: The house is located extremely centrally relative to the Perigord Noir tourist attractions. It fronts onto the D904 which runs directly into La Roque-Gageac, a premier destination, and one mile from the house. During the summer season guests should expect passing traffic to this popular site and understand that the Dordogne is always very lively at this time of year. I point this out to avoid any client being under the impression that this house is in a remote location.
