Nobody of us wanted to leave beautiful Vila 40 and Cascais. We were 2 families from Norway (4 adults and 4 teenagers) sharing the villa for a period of 14 days. We should have rented it another 2 weeks, 3 weeks or longer. You never get bored in Cascais as the area has so much to offer as to great beaches, good food, tennis, golf, riding, kiting, surfing, shopping, markets, culture, nice and friendly people, fresh air, sunshine. So many things to do and see and at the same time we only wanted to stay in our Vila 40. Very quickly we felt it as our home. The interior so chic, the pool area so nice. A kitchen I really wanted to bring home with me. So comfortable and relaxing. That is for me surely a part of being on holydays. Waking up early in the morning, taking a swim, eating breakfast outside by the pool, just taking it easy, not being in a hurry. Maybe after breakfast a quick trip into Cascais for some shopping, home for lunch, riding in the afternoon, eating dinner out in the evening. Nobody sets the hours for you, the day is all yours and everybody does what they want to do. All activities only minutes drive or walk from the villa. My youngest boy plays tennis, and I can warmly recommend the tennis coach recommended by our fantastic host. You are not only renting a villa, you also get the best host and the best tennis trainer who again can recommend the best sights, restaurants what to do and see. Many of us went riding as often as we could and we can recommend the riding centre at Quinta da Marinha. Great horses, great instructors. I'm writing a lot now and it all summarizes down to that Vila 40 and Cascais is such a good combination. We certainly will be back. Already prebooked for next year.
