Bahia Azul is a luxury development of detached villas within a manned gated community. From the villa itself you can enjoy on site facilities including bar, restaurant, gym and sauna, plus there are nearby shops for those essential holiday necessities.On the roof terrace, as well as the views to the sea and natural landscape, you can also enjoy cooking outdoors on the barbecue and catch the last of the rays of sun as it sets behind the mountains. Also within the property, you can enjoy the lagoon style pool which is lit during the evenings, and also has complete privacy. The property also offers guest Satellite television, DVD player, a games console for children, a fully fitted kitchen including a washing machine for those wishing to stay longer. The en-suite bedrooms are located to the left of the pool and entrance is via the poolside and each are individual. For this reason we recommend this property is not suitable for children under five years.

For extra privacy, they benefit from no connecting corridor. Each bedroom has en-suite facilities to the same standard high standard and decorated to a modern style. There are no baths to this property, only showers. There is also a separate WC accessed from the main living area.

Notes: Poolside, there is also a small seating area for four people, plus 2 additional chairs. There are also sun loungers provided. You must bring your own music CDs and your own DVDs. Towels and linen are supplied and changed once a week at the same time as the villa is cleaned. Pool cleaning is carried out twice a week (Tuesdays & Fridays) and cleaners will enter the poolside by key. Please bring your own towels for the beach.There is also a separate WC accessed from the main living area.The kitchen is of modern design with marble work tops (open plan to living area). Equipment includes integrated oven, microwave, hob, fridge freezer, extractor and washing machine. There is also a kettle, toaster and selection of pans. The lounge and dining area is completely open plan to the kitchen and retains the modern feel. There is ample seating for 6 people around the TV, plus the same around the dining table. Also there is satellite TV, DVD Cinema system, games console including games.

History: The “Gaunches” were the original inhabitants of Fuerteventura and the Canary Islands, history believes that the earliest settlement was back in 200 BC. Their origin remains a mystery to this day, some believe they have Egyptian relations due to mummifying corpses while others believe they may be descendents from the lost city of Atlantis which is believed to be close to the Canary Islands. The Guanches worked the land and had a basic lifestyle using very primitive tools with the majority living in caves.

Golf: If you like to play golf while on holiday, Fuerteventura is fast becoming a golfers paradise it now offers two 18 hole PGA golf courses, with the Fuerteventura Golf Course already considered an excellent course after being selected to host the 2004 Spanish Open. Then second 18 hole course Las Salinas is situated next door and has set its target to be the number 1 course on the island. There is a 3rd course in Las Playitas, Tuineje which has been granted PGA golf academy status and offers 18 holes. There are a further two courses planned and in development Puerto Del Rosario Golf and Jandia Golf.
