Torre Archirafi is a suggestive mariner village, since XVIII cent. grown near a ferry port on the 'Ionic Riviera', the East coast of Sicily It's located at 2 km from the 'Porto dell'Etna', the new ferry port of Riposto, the nearest commercial town. About 15 km going to North you find Taormina, where you can visit its ancient Greek-roman theater or appreciate the fantastic panoramic terrace called 'Belvedere'. Or you can go to Acireale, a little city at 10 km South, plenty of XVII cent. churches & so called 'Valle del Barocco'. In half an hour by highway you can move to Catania the nearest big city, with its historic centre & important buildings of '700, '800 and '900. In about two hours you can go to Siracusa, the ancient Greek-city, or to the many XVII towns of its territory. In Torre Archirafi there are also geographical attractions during all the year: you can try different king of beaches (rocks, sand, gravel..) or have funny daily excursions to Aeolian Islands or to Etna Mount.
