Lovely owner and apartment

This was my first experience of booking a holiday apartment rather than a hotel and it was truly a great one. Melissa replied promptly, politely and helpfully to my emails and offered help with taxis and local bookings if we required it. Fortunately there were no problems when we were in the apartment so didn't have to call on her. The info pack in the apartment was useful and comprehensive.
The complex has a nice, clean pool and many of the others there are year-round residents - English and local - so it was not just full of holidaymakers. This gives the place more character and it feels safe. We must have been amongst the youngest couples there (24 and 29) so this is not a teen party location at all.
The apartment was immaculate with quality furniture and came with lots of extras that really make a holiday apartment far superior to a self catering booking: things like tea, wine glasses, cleaning materials, iron, digital TV and DVD player. The air conditioning was effecting and well needed in the Cyprus August heat!
The location was OK...a rather expensive convenience store is 150 yards away and so is the bus stop which runs very regularly to the harbour and town centre. There are some reasonable restaurants on this strip but for more choice you'll need to walk 10-20 mins on the roadside - not great for pushchairs. The beach is not a typical sunbathing beach but for a quick trip to the sea it's fine.
The only thing I disliked about the service (and it's a minor point) is that only one toilet roll was supplied. We had to but four more which was a waste because we only used one of them! Good idea to supply more next time.

Owner's Response: Thanks Jo! I spoke to cleaner about the toilet roll and she swears that she left spares in the bathroom cupboard next to the toilet & under the sink like I ask her to do always. I'm very sorry about that if she forgot. We can offer you a welcome pack next time which has extra supplies if you need them. Not sure which beach you went to but the one walking distance from the complex is full of sunbeds (see picture on ad) and you are also the first to make negative comments about the choice of restaurants, most people love the ones nearby and we personally think they are some of the best in the whole of Paphos, and we've tried most of them! I've pushed my baby pram along the same road and not had any problems, thankfully he can walk now though! We do have other apartments closer to bar street if you're interested in meeting younger people and we would be happy to send you more information on those if you prefer something closer to the younger crowds next time.
