Self catering or B&B chalet with pool, just outside of the beautiful town of Calasparra. The chalet is located in a quiet area in the Murcian countryside with stunning views and traditional Spanish lifestyle. The chalet has 2 double or twin bedrooms sleeping up to 4 people, with a spacious living area with kitchenette. All meals & drinks can be provided as required, and golf days to La Manga and other local golf courses also arranged. Airport collection and drop-off can also be arranged by request. A welcome pack is included in the price.

The chalet is located just outside the town of Calasparra, which is famous for its rice production. The Sanctuary of Esperanza is located in Calasparra and is a famous place of pilgrimage for Catholics across Spain. The nearest beaches are San Javier and Los Alcazares on the Costa Calida coast. These are accessible by car and are only an hour's drive away. Murcia city is only 45 minutes away, with 2 large shopping centres - the Nuevo Condimina, with a covered shopping area, food courts and cinema complex & the Thader centre with large retail outlets. Locally, only 4 km from the chalet is the tranquil village of Valentin, with typical Spanish bars serving a wide range of tapas. The Valentin fiesta at the end of June brings the village alive, with live music in the square and nightly entertainment - this is not to be missed!

My stay at Villa Sole

If you are looking for a holiday to just chill out and relax, this is the place to go. What more could you ask for. Get up in the morning to the beautiful sunshine and scenery, sit round the beautifully cared for pool and if that is too much for you, have a siesta in the afternoon in the clean and air conditioned chalet.
If you want to do your own thing, all the facilities in your Chalet are there for the taking, or if you really want to be lazy, Clive and Fiona are on hand to make sure all your needs are taken care of. Nothing was too much trouble with those two!
Myself and my partner went to Villa Sole without our children and it was sheer bliss! but after saying that children are most welcome.
If you want to go sight seeing, hiring a car would be the way forward. Clive and Fiona took us out and showed us some of the sights, which were breathtaking. Visiting the Monastary is a must.
Going into the spanish towns and villages at night was awesome - not touristy in any way and the spanish people make you most welcome. Sitting out in the streets, wining and dining and watching the world go by was brilliant and when it starts to get dark and the lights come on and the spanish finish work and join you was just magical.
The when you have had your fill, you go back and sit outside your chalet or join Clive and Fiona for a drink and chat and enjoy the peace and tranquility.
I would not hesitate to recommend this magical getaway to anyone.
I came home relaxed and refreshed.
I am planning to take a couple of friends with me next year, as seeing is believing.
ENJOY!

Villa Sole

We had a fantastic, lazy, two weeks of sunny relaxation! After breakfast, the kids went straight to the pool and the adults to the sun loungers armed with books and i-pods. The pool is a really good size for four people and is clean and well kept, as is the chalet and patio areas. We also liked the fact that with a choice of sitting areas, you could always find sun or shade at any time of day. Fiona cooked us a couple of really nice, good value, meals and even produced a bottle of sparkling wine on our wedding aniversary. Clive and Fiona are a great couple and are on hand for almost anything yet we never felt they intruded on our holiday. The welcome pack, which included bread, butter, water and beer, was really helpful after a long journey. The surrounding villages are friendly ' real' Spanish towns but Clive can recommend places to eat with english menus if need be. Overall, the perfect holiday to re-charge the batteries.

Our Holiday at Villa Sole

We went and stayed at Villa Sole for a week and it was one of the most relaxing weeks i have ever had. Clive and Fiona were brilliant hosts and nothing was too much trouble.We stayed in the cassita and it was spacious enough for our needs lovely and clean with everything we needed to make our stay really pleasureable.There was a pool which was lovely as the weather was great 39 degrees some days.The property was in the mountains and typically Spanish which was like a breath of fresh air away from commercialism.The people we met were friendly and very sociable.There are some good golf courses not too far away and two lovely shopping malls which unlike here were not too busy so shopping was a breeze.All in all i would not hesitate to recommend Villa Sole and plan to go back next year.

A great holiday

When we arrived at Villa Sole we were made to feel extremely welcomed by Clive and Fiona, we were pleased to find that our accommodation was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The grounds of the Villa were well maintained and this was evidenced by the sight of Clive maintaining the pool on a daily basis.
The local town and villages are very Spanish with none of the typical tourist trappings that you are likely to find in the coastal resorts. The locals are very friendly and the restaurants offer a wide range of dishes, sitting outside in the Spanish night with a glass of wine having just finished our meal and watching the world go by was wonderful. Clive and Fiona couldn’t do enough to ensure that we enjoyed our stay; they happily showed us around the area and took us to see the local sights. In particular a visit to the Sanctuary is highly recommended. Clive had arranged for a friend of his to take me to Altorreal golf course for a game where I was warmly welcomed by the local golf society and able to play for a reduced green fee so if you wanted a game he will even take care of that for you.
Our stay at Villa Sole was very relaxing and on the nights that we didn’t leave the Villa Fiona happily provided a meal and with Beer and wine included for 10 euros it was great value. We really enjoyed our stay with Clive and Fiona and have already been discussing our return next year, we highly recommend Villa Sole.

Villa Sol

A clean, well-equipped chalet with swimming pool and patio area in a beautiful, peaceful setting, with a warm and friendly welcome from Fiona and Clive. We did not hire a car so we were collected from the airport by Clive, taken to the shops and supermarket in town and to nearby places of interest whenever we wished. A welcome pack of food was waiting for us in the chalet on arrival. There was a good choice of evening meals available, generous portions well-cooked and served by Fiona.
It was very interesting to see the "real Spain" away from the tourist areas on the coast. The locals were all very friendly and we managed to communicate even though not many locals spoke good English and our Spanish was limited. We visited in late April when the scenery was very green and the spring flowers were in bloom. We enjoyed several walks in the surrounding hills with spectacular views over the Segura valley. In the afternoons we chilled out by swimming in the pool or reading our books and newspapers.
We all returned home feeling very relaxed and refreshed after our holiday and can't wait to return next year.
