Lovely two bed / two bath second floor apartment with large shared pool, landscaped gardens and children's play area, free wireless broadband. Sleeps 4, although extra can be accommodated upon request. One double bedroom with king sized bed, built-in wardrobe and ensuite bathroom. Second twin bedroom with built in wardrobes. Large shower room. Spacious living / dining room and large poolside balcony with table & chairs. Front balcony with built in BBQ. Fully equiped kitchen with black granite, fridge freezer,d/w, electric oven / gas hob and washing machine. Air con / heating throughout, Sky TV and DVD/iPod player. Nearest beach is Meia Praia (10mins stroll) and there are a total of 8 beaches within 15 mins drive. Nearby golf courses include Palmares (10mins), Boa Vista(10mins) and Parque de Floresta (20mins).

Nearest Train: Lagos Station at 1 Kilometres
Nearest Motorway: A2 at 5 Kilometres

Car: not necessary
Lagos, once the capital of Portugal is steeped in history and culture. The apartment is 10 mins walk to Batata Beach. Praia Dona Ana (the most photographed beach in Europe) and Meia Preia are a short drive away or Meia Preia accessed via a small ferry boat in the summer months. Praia de Luz 10 minutes drive, Salema 20 minutes drive, Zaviel 20 minutes drive. There are also some fantastic beaches for surfing and body boarding on the west coast including Armado about 30 minutes drive away. Local buses run several times a day to most of these locations. There a number of outstanding golf courses within a 15 minute drive including Palmares, Parque da Floresta, Boa Vista and Penina. Faro airport 50 minutes drive. Car hire is available from the airport and recommended if you wish to do a lot of travelling and some fantastic sightseeing. Car hire can be arranged by us, as can Airport transfers. Lagos train station is a 5 minute walk and Lagos bus station a 2 minute walk.

Golf: There are plenty of superb golf courses in the area. Boavista is the closest, and is about 2 miles away. Within a radius of about 20 miles, there are 4 or 5 championship standard courses to test the lowest handicapper.

May 2009 was my second stay here, it’s such a fantastic place we had to go back!

The apartment is lovely, very tastefully decorated in a contemporary style with all mod cons – air con, heated floors, dishwasher, washing machine, flat screen TVs, DVD and computer games, wireless internet, etc. There are balconies overlooking the pool from all main rooms and a balcony with BBQ from the kitchen.

The pool is great, big enough for a proper swim and there is ample space around the pool for sunbathing, surrounded by manicured gardens.

Lagos town is a short walk away (less than 10 minutes) where you can sample some tasty food in the great number of restaurants on offer (piri-piri chicken is a must!). There are also plenty of cafes, souvenir shops and bars to sample.

The Marina is a five minute walk away, where there are more eateries to try. Past the Marina is the main beach for Lagos, Praia Meia which will take 10 minutes to walk to from the apartment. The beach is lovely and clean – approx. two miles of white sand with sun beds available, although the Atlantic can be a bit chilly so early on in the season.

This is now top of my list of holiday recommendations for my friends and family. I have had two brilliant holidays and hope to go back for a 3rd in the not too distant future. I hope you enjoy your stay!

very nice holiday apartment

We saw the pictures and we thought it was to good to be true, but it was exactly as the pictures. A very nice modern apartment, new and very luxurious. Every was very clean, the owners provided us with towels, linnen etc. and even some food and a botle of wine because we arived late. Our flight back to Holland was in the evening and because there where no bookings for the next day the owner let us stay the hole day insted of 10 hour clock. We will certanly recomend this holidayapartment to our friends. Katy recommended us a few restaurant and they where good, just ask her.
