Rome holiday apartment

We just returned from a three night stay at the beginning of June. This apartment is in the heart of Trastevere- one street over from the Tiber and 200m from Santa Maria's church. It is a 15-20min walk to the Vatican and all the major sights in the city. The pictures and descriptions on the property are very accurate. It is clean and cozy with modern decor. The apartment is perfect for 2 people, but would be tight for more than two. The kitchen is small, but does have all you'd need to prepare meals if you desire. The bed as described is a tatami bed, which is a harder mattress, much like sleeping on a futon bed. I was 5 months pregnant at the time and it was a bit hard for me, but I folded over one of the extra blankets in the closet and put it under the sheet on my side and this worked just fine.
The area is great for those who wish to partake in the Trastevere night life. Bars and cafes line the street below the bedroom window and it doesn't seem to matter what night of the week, there are always people out and about till after midnight. If you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs, the street noise is audible with closed windows.
We found a wonderful little pizzeria on Via di San Cosimato number 14. "Da Vittorio" has the best Tiramisu I have ever tasted and I am very particular about Tiramisu. Go there just to try a slice. It'll easily feed two and you'll want to savor every bite. It is made fresh on the spot by the chef who came by after I took a bite to see if I approved. Although he spoke no English and I no Italian he let me know it was his special Tiramisu and I had to agree with him. The service there was great and the waitress very helpful and friendly. We ate there for a late lunch and it wasn't busy at all, but it fills up at dinner time. The food is great as so are the prices. This street and the ones nearby are a great less expensive place to come for everything. One can get a cheaper Italian breakfast next to the Pizzeria and the fresh food market is open daily I believe in the center of the square. There is also a grocery store located nearby to buy items to take back to the apartment to cook should you choose. The waitress at Vittorio told us where to go.
Since the apartment was available, Isabella let us check in early the day we arrived around 9:30am and let us check out after 2pm the day we left. She also gave us good directions that brought us straight to the apartment where she met us when we arrived.
