Caleta de Fuste (El Castillo) holiday house

We stayed here in August 2008 and 2009 and have no complaints whatsoever. The house is perfectly situated for all the amenities the resort has to offer and although being very central is peaceful and quite during both the day and night. It is furnished to a high standard and comes with a washing machine which isn't the usual when you go abroad, it also means you don't need to take so much clothes (if you don't want to). The owner is very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The management company in resort are very helpful too and are usually around most mornings or contactable by phone.

As for the resort, we love Caleta. Its about 7km from the Airport which is very convenient transfer times. The resort isn't overrun with English bars although they are there if you wish to use them. We did go to the 60's Bar for breakfast most mornings. Fado Rock is a must for evening meals. They do amazing steak which they cook on volcanic stones at the table. We ate there at least 7 nights out of our 14 this year.

One of the reasons we go to Caleta is my husband likes to windsurf and there is a surf school on the beach where you can learn to windsurf and then hire equipment to use independantly.

This property comes highly recommended by us, if you're thinking of hiring it, don't think again ... do it now !!!
