Villa Chakra is a luxury detached villa with private pool, jaccuzzi, barbeque excellent views of Spinalonga Island and sea, its an excellent get away from it all location,turn left out of the villa and you stroll up into the mountains with stunning views and traditional Greek villages or turn right and stroll down to the beach in plaka.the villa is on 2 levels each level has its own balcony where you can relax and take in the amazing views,Villa Chakra would be excellent for a romantic honeymoon destination, there is also outside storage area if you want to hire some bikes and explore the area, villa is self catering but there are plenty of sea front tavernas for you to choose from, or you may want to go to the local butchers and start your own barbeque. There is a market in plaka on Fridays where they sell plenty of fresh vegetables.

Take a 10 min walk from Villa Chakra to the fishing village of Plaka, enjoy a stroll along the pebble beach and choose one of the tavernas along the sea front choose from a variety of menus specialising in fresh fish caught daily. Or take a boat trip with the locals to the amazing Island of Spinalonga (10 min trip). Plaka is a very friendly village stephanie owns the local pub on the corner of plaka where you can relax outside for as long as you wish they also have live music every week, further along from the pub is a fantastic clothes shop take a further 20 min walk to Elounda which has its own charm but more of a tourist feel sandy beach sea side restaurants boat trips Your next town is Aghios Nichalaos full of restaurants.shops, tourist info, bars, sandy beach boat trips lagoon side restaurants my favourite town.

What a relaxing break - great villa

We stayed at this villa for 11 days in September and had a wonderful time. The villa was well equipped and nicely furnished. We really loved the pool and the hot tub and enjoyed a few meals on the barbecue. You have a fantastic view of Spinalonga.

The villa is about a 10 minute walk to the small village of Plaka - downhill to the village, uphill on the way back - it wouldn't be great if you had any mobility issues. I would recommend hiring a car so you can make the most of the beautiful coastline.

The rocky beach is just down the road and has the clearest water you can imagine - we loved going for a dip.

The owner was great to deal with and replied to our queries promptly
