ON SITE GOLF ACADEMY – 9 Hole golf course (par 33 (2,227m)) with the famous “Devil’s Parlour” that is ranked in the top 10 golf holes in the Algarve. A driving range with 9 different flag positions which can be approached from various directions and distances. Practice area for chipping and bunker practice. Two putting greens. The academy is equipped with the latest teaching technology and qualified pros. Club house and golf shop on site.
ON SITE TENNIS ACADEMY - five floodlit tennis courts, three fast courts, two clay courts, qualified coaches. Individual or group lessons. Match partner can be found.
SWIMMING WITH DOLPHINS at Zoo Marine, Algarve, is a great experience. Book ahead as this is popular experience. You get twirled around by a dolphin. They also push the backs of your feet to move you forward & just before you reach the other end of the pool they give a final push lifting you up so that you become slightly air born before falling back into the water.
Younger Guests and Juniors:
YOUNGER GUESTS - 6 months - 12 years. Activity centre contains two wooden boats, a swimming pool and another pool for remote control boats, a recreational terrace, an 18-hole mini golf course, a bouncy castle, a bike track and a basketball and volleyball court. Daily entertainment program with trained assistants.
JUNIOR CLUB – Activities on offer are volleyball, basketball, field hockey, archery, beach walks, step aerobics, fitness exercises, Tai Chi, bike trips etc. Table tennis and games room on site.
Ice creams, crepes and kids buffets on site.
BICYCLES can be hired locally as the kids love to cycle around the resort. The resort is spread over 66 hectares. The kids love hopping on & off the Pine Cliff's train that runs at regular times around the resort.
The pine trees around the pool provides plenty of shade so it is possible to stay all day at the pool without being in the sun all day!
Golf:
The 9 hole Links golf course, Pine Cliffs, designed by Martin Hawtree, is a par 33 (2,227m)) in a pine woodland and enjoys an exceptional cliff top position with fantastic views of the ochre cliffs & overlooks the beautiful beach, Felesia. The club's first president was the British motor racing star, Nigel Mansell. The opening hole is a par 4 with a drive through an avenue of trees to a generous fairway. The par 3 sixth hole is the famous & most challenging hole and is known as the “Devil’s Parlour” that requires a 198 metre carrying shot to the green over a cavernous ravine & is well worth experiencing & be sure to have your camera to capture the magnificent view. Frequent visitors include European Tour players who use the golf academy facilities for winter training.The STATE-OF-THE-ART FACILITY includes an indoor teaching facility with two bays,swing analysis cameras & specialised software to perfect all areas of the golf swing.
