Lovely spacious holiday apartment in big detached villa. El Portet is the most desirable part of the beautiful resort of Moraira. It is only 800 metres easy walk to the beach. There is a convenience store and some bars nearby. Walking into the main town is a pleasure, along the coastal path. It takes about 20 minutes + about 10 more at least as you can't help yourself from stopping to stare at the beauty of the crystal clear turquoise sea. The immediate neighbourhood is remarkably peaceful and suitable for children or elderly people. Access is flat - you can walk directly through the French doors to your own 10 by 5 metre pool. The self-catering facilities are adequate, with washing machine and freezer in the handy utility room. You will want to try out the massive barbecue. There is so much space for you to enjoy the sun all day with your private sun-lounger - or sit in the shade if you prefer. The two bedrooms are adequate for your holiday. The living rooms are large and airy.

You can walk to El Portet beach in less than 10 min.Within easy walking distance there are a few bars and restaurants, a pharmacy and a mini-market. Also you can walk into Moraira in just under 20 min along a safe and beautiful pathway. There is a wealth of very good restaurants catering for all tastes. The town beach is excellent and has a blue flag status, as does El Portet beach. Moraira boasts water sports, snorkelling, children's fun fair and a go kart track. Within easy driving distance are the resorts of Calpe and Javea. For a change of scenery there is the world famous resort of Benidorm with theme parks and water parks nearby. Shopaholics will love La Marina centre at Ondara where there is also an excellent cinema in English as well as a 10 pin bowling alley. A visit to Valencia is also possible, using the excellent train service from Tavernes. The little local train from Teulada, 10 minutes drive away will take you on a cheap and attractive ride to Altea or to Denia

Villa location: We are located in a very quiet cul-de-sac of 6 family villas, with our own pine covered mountain behind us. The plot is flat with automatic gates which give security and safety to keep children within the boundary. There is ample private parking and no passing traffic - the most noise comes from the cicadas and the birds! The owners of the villa are a retired English couple who live upstairs. You have use of the whole of the downstairs area of the villa, terraces in the shade or in the sun, the 10 by 5 metre pool and the garden with a built in barbecue. The total patio area available to holidaymakers is approximately 300 square meters. The apartment and the pool are for the exclusive use of the renters only. The apartment is light, comfortable and spacious. Because the accommodation is at the lower level it keeps relatively cool in the heat of our Spanish summers. Having removed two nearby pine trees the pool is in the sun all day, so is very warm in the summer.

Hill walkers and climbers: The local 'pepperpot', the Calpe rock and the 'Montgo' are all local attractions for serious walkers. The whole of the northern Costa Blanca is quite mountainous and suitable for rock climbing. Our local tourist office arranges various walks around the area.

Golfers: We have two local golf courses, the Ifach actually within Moraira and the Javea Golf club which is a few minutes drive away. Both very well kept and reasonable fees

Golf: There are two golf courses nearby, the Ifach which is about 10 minutes driving distance away, and the Javea Golf club which is about 15 minutes drive.

Other Activities: Lots of local fiestas. Excellent location for climbers and golfers all season

A wonderful holiday.....

We are a couple in our early 40's with two daughters aged 14 & 10. This property was ideal for our holiday. This is the second time we have had our holiday in the area and we have enjoyed the location so much that we are actively looking to buy property of our own nearby. Moraira has an abundance of restaurants and shops with a lovely beach and El Portet is just a few hundred metres along the stunning coast. The property is occupied upstairs by the owners and the ground level is rented to holidaymakers. The owners are very welcoming and enhanced the holiday with excellent recommendations of things to do and places to see. They never intruded on our privacy and they have presented the property and gardens grounds beautifully. The living accomodation is generously proportioned and very comfortable with many small ornamental reminders of the UK. The TV has access to some UK channels and there is a PC available to use. There are two bedrooms that provided a comfortable experience with extra sleeping space available via a fold down bed if required. The pool and gardens are very private and immaculately presented. The kids really enjoyed the pool and the barbeque too. The beach is about 750 metres away and the walk isn't too steep. We are delighted to recommend this property to groups or to families, young and old, and we hope that we will be back staying here again soon.

Spent 5 nights , had a lovely relaxing break. We were a party of 4 adults. The accomodation is beautiful, lovely quiet location. Janet and Alan were so welcoming and there to advise but gave us our own space. The pool and BBQ area really enhanced our holiday. The sun shone ,we swam, cooked steak and chilled! We recommend a visit to Guadalest and to Verdi Vent restaurant. The beach at El Portet is 5 mins from the villa and really lovely . We will return to this property.
Owner's Response: Of all our visitors this year we enjoyed this party the most. They were so obviously having a great holiday it was a pleasure to hear them laughing so much.
We were amazed and pleased that they even swam in the pool at the very end of October!

Great Holiday

As advertised this really is a lovely villa. Its in a lovely quite location. The villa is very clean and light, and has a lovely swimming pool and barbecue area.
Janet and Alan are lovely and very friendly and helped make our holiday very special by letting six of us stay at the villa (thank you so much)
We were in walking distance of El Portet, and also there is a stunning walk to Moraira.
The beaches are lovely and there are excellent restaurants and shops and everyone is so friendly.
Thank you Janet and Alan for making our holiday so special and making us feel so welcome, we enjoyed every minute of every day and will certainly think about coming again, and recomend it to friends

A wonderful place to stay !

The apartment was freshly decorated and spotlessly clean.
The bedroom accommodation is not spacious, but adequate for holiday sleeping and the amount of space in the living and dining rooms more than compensates.
The location of the villa can not be faulted, as it is in a quiet flat cul-de-sac with plenty of parking, good safety and security and walking distance to the lovely El Portet beach.
Janet and Alan were available for advice, but are often out so peace and tranquility are guaranteed. English TV and internet access were a real bonus

As per the website, this truly is an excellent villa. It is in a superb location within walking distance to a lovely beach in El Portet and to the larger town of Moraira. Furthermore, the propery had everything you could wish for from a television with sky to a PC with access to the internet to beach towels. The outdoor space was the most impressive with a beautiful garden area and pool. Janet and Alan were most helpful with tips on where to visit etc yet gave us our own space too. We visited with our two children, aged nearly 3 and 4 months and would highly recommend both the villa and location to families with young children. Our daughter particularly enjoyed the Aqualand water park in Benidorm and the trip on the train into Benidorm! We'd certainly like to come back one day!
