Photos and Description of this La Manga Strip holiday apartment Perfectly situated for 5 minute walk to choice of beaches

1st floor apartment with shared pools, play park and superb views. 25 mins walk to marina, shops, restaurants and bars. Air-conditioned. Delightful, fully equipped, home-from-home apartment is a stroll from the beautiful, calm and warm Mar Menor (small sea), the world's largest natural saltwater lake, and the Mediterranean with water sports. Racquetball/tennis court for guests of Los Miradores. A supermarket is on hand some 2 mins away and a short drive, or 25 mins walk, will take you to the beautiful marina where you will find an array of shops and cafe bars on one side and on the other, a wide choice of quality restaurants to enjoy and watch the sun set over the Mar Menor. A 30 mins ferry service takes you to the small town of Santiago de la Ribera where there is an excellent local market on Wednesdays. There is a bus service for those without a car to a Sunday market at the bottom of La Manga strip. La Manga Club is a 30 mins drive away.

Location: La Manga Strip in Spain

The historic port of Cartagena is some 40 minutes by car. A ferry service from the marina takes you to Santiago de la Ribera, a small town with an excellent Wednesday market. Cabos de Palo fishing village is 20 minutes away at the bottom of the strip; there is a large market there on a Sunday. The regional capital, Murcia, is a 50 minute drive.

  • £100 deposit on booking (non refundable) and balance required 6 weeks prior to arrival. Should the booking fall within the 6 weeks then full payment is required at the time. A further £100 damage deposit is required which will be returned after housekeeping check on your departure.

Notes: Utility Room with washing machine, separate sink for rinsing sandy towels, clothes airer, steam iron and ironing board. Living room entered by double doors from the hall, the living room is very comfortable with a large corner sofa, flat screen TV, Sky TV, DVD player and coffee table. There is a separate dining area and a high chair is provided. The bedrooms have built-in wardrobes with drawers and plenty coat hangers! There is a hair dryer for your convenience. The terrace leading from the living room is large enough to eat outside or simply sit and watch the boats pass and local fishermen. There is air-conditioning in both bedrooms and living room. Underfloor heating is installed for the cooler evenings during winter lets. The property is equipped for a young child in the form of a travel cot and high chair.

There is terrace furniture comprising table and 4 comfortable chairs for dining or enjoying a pre dinner drink. The large pool and children's pool can be seen from the apartment as can the children's play area and racquetball court. There are a number of seating areas to enjoy the sunshine or shade without having to be at the poolside and folding beach/pool chairs are provided for your comfort. Due to the relatively flat surroundings, cycling is a great way to get about - bikes are for hire on the Strip.

Costa Calida (warm coast) enjoys 322 sunny days per year; La Manga strip is a unique 21km of land bordered by sandy beaches on each side. The apartment is located to the north of the strip where a 5 minute stroll takes you to the beautiful, calm and warm Mar Menor (small sea), the world's largest natural salt water lake, and the Mediterranean. Water sports are plentiful and ideal for the shallow waters of the Mar Menor. The Mar Menor also boasts therapeutic mud treatments.

The nearest airport is Murcia (San Javier), some 40 minutes or Alicante approximately 90 minutes - easily accessible as well signposted and motorway all the way. Car hire is recommended however airport pickup can be arranged at a cost of 40 euros from Murcia each way or 100 euros each way from Alicante. Internet access is available in local supermarkets or cafes at marina. In addition to the supermarket located 2 minutes from the apartment, there is a choice of several others locally too. Banks, tourist office, go carting, cycle hire, scuba diving and car hire are all available along the Strip. Boats can be chartered from the marina.

Golf: The famous La Manga Club is a 30 minute drive where you can enjoy a variety of courses - one of which hosted Spanish Open several times. There is a 9 hole golf course within a 5 minute drive from the apartment.

We stayed at one of the apartments in the above complex for 10 days, but it wasn't long enough, we didn't want to leave. The apartment was beautiful with everything you needed, it was home from home, the location of the apartment couldn't have been any better, the supermarket was 2 minutes away from the apartment, a lovely restaurant across the road & two wonderful beaches within 5 minutes walk from the apartment, what more could you ask for?

Other parts of the La Manga strip could be reached via the bus, also a ferry was available to take you to a town across the Mar Menor, the Marina is within walking distance, which has fantasic restaurants, bars & a few very nice shops, we where spoilt for choice!

Longing to be going back again soon, but this time for longer!

We would recommend the apartment, it is suitable for anyone young & old.

What a great holiday we had flights transfers and appartment were trouble free. Appartment is clean bright and good size, very good location for pool and two superb beaches supermarket is nearby and good value for money,(wine £1.50 a bottle) eating out locally is proper Spanish (4 nearby) and again good value,buses are 1 euro wether you go 1 stop or 20.The appartment over looks the marina you can watch the boats come in and out from your balcony or have a meal at the marina and watch the sun go down.
