Vilamoura:
Vilamoura is a beautiful town built around the largest port in the Algarve. Boat trips to many destinations can be arranged from here. There is a lovely sandy beach which is just perfect for swimming. There are lots of beach restaurants around both the Nikki Beach and the Falaisa Beach. There is a huge choice of restaurant to suit all tastes and pockets in Vilamoura many of which overlook the lovely marina. There are buses to neighbouring towns and for those who wish to travel further afield to Fatima, Gibralta, and Lisbon at reasonable prices. The Casino has great shows during the high season and there is a great Spa and Fitness centre in Vilamoura. For the golfer there are numerous championship golf courses giving year round play.
This is a terrific location for either a family holiday or for a golfing holiday.
Beaches:
Falesia Beach is the nearest of Vilamoura's 2 beaches to the apartment, being just a 5 minute drive away. This beach has excellent parking facilities. Beds and Parasols can be rented on the beach and there are lots of beachside restaurants.
Nikii Beach is located on the Villamoura side of the Port. This beach also has great sand, parking and plenty of restaurants.
Distances:
Golf Clubhouses 1 minutes drive. Marina and beaches 5 minutes drive. Nearest restaurant and supermarket 2 minutes drive, 15 minutes walk. Wide range of restaurants, bars and nightlife 5 minutes drive. Waterpark 10 minutes by car. Zoomarine 30 minutes by car. Algarve shopping mall 20 minutes by car.
Golf:
The apartment is located 5 min from Millennium, Laguna, Pinhal and the Old Course golf courses. There are other courses close by as well. 3 min to local driving range. The Millennium Course is an 18 hole par 72 course opened in 2000. Green fees are 95 euro, Club Rental 50 euro. Max handicap 28/-36. The Laguna Course (also 18 holes) has slightly cheaper green fees whilst the Pinhal Course (also 18 holes) is more expensive at 140 euro for green fees. Handicap certificates are required for all of the above courses. For reservations please call owner for details.
