Photos and Description of this Sarlat holiday farmhouse Sleeps 10, quiet location, nature lovers' paradise!

The house, with large grounds (4 acres) is situated in a peaceful valley 3 miles from Sarlat. The spacious accommodation (300m²) is arranged over two floors. The living room has comfortable seating arranged around a lovely stone fireplace and French doors leading to the garden and pool area. The second large sitting/dining room ,also opening onto the garden, has a dining table which seats 10. Kitchen/dining room with dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave and oak dining table and chairs. 4 Bedrooms all comfortably furnished, located on the first floor. 2 large double en-suite rooms, 2 spacious rooms each with a double bed and a single bed. 3 Bath/shower rooms and 1 indep. toilet. Pool house with shower. The pool (11m x 5m with roman steps and regulation safety fence) has a large paved patio with sunloungers and parasols. BBQ and dining terrace. Table tennis, garden swings and sandpit. Laundry room with washer, drying and ironing facilities

The property is located in the heart of the Dordogne Valley just 5km from the medieval town of Sarlat. The surrounding area is punctuated by picture-postcard villages ( e.g. Domme, La Roque Gageac, St. Geniès) with golden-ochre stone houses and flower-festooned squares. Chateaux, ranging from fairytale like at Les Milandes, and Losse ) to flambuoyant ( like Hautfort) to medieval fortifications (like Beynac and Castlenaud), rival those of the Loire Valley. Where prehistory is concerned, the Dordogne and Vézère valleys are in a league of their own. Exceptional sites at Lascaux, known as the 'Sistine chapel of prehistory' because of its impressive paintings, and and at Les Eyzies, not to be missed.! Sarlat is regarded as the jewel in the crown of the Dordogne Valley region, with a wealth of architecture, culture, street entertainment and colourful Saturday market. Enjoy local gastronomic delights like foie gras and truffles complimented by Bergerac or Cahors wine.

    To secure a booking a 25% deposit, payable in Euro or sterling, by bank transfer (preferred method), cheque or credit card is required. In the event of a cancellation up to 3 months before arrival this deposit will be returned if the period has been re-let. The balance payment is due 6 weeks before arrival.
  • A security deposit against breakage/damage to the property of 300 Euro is payable in cash or with credit card details, on arrival. This will be returned on departure if everything is in order.
    There is an end of stay cleaningcharge of 80 Euro.
