St Vallier is a very pleasant small town just 12 km from Grasse, and the first stop along the Route Napoléon going into Provence beyond the Riviera. It's set on a high plateau, overlooked by the high hills. St Vallier began as a Roman stronghold, and contains a Romanesque church dating back to the early 12th century. The village is set around a beautiful park, which hosts a famous weekly market. As well as a variety of restaurants and cafes, the village has many natural attractions, including a network of explorable caves.
St Vallier is also very conveniently located for day trips to Saint Paul de Vence, Cannes, Nice, Antibes, Mougins and Monaco as well as other beautiful villages of Provence.
