The Villa was built at the beginning of the last century by the owner’s father and it has been the family home since then. Recently renovated and lavishly furnished with antiques, the ideal get away for a discerning traveller. The property has been kept to its original setting and structure, this will give guests a real sense of what it is really like to live in Tuscany. The house is surrounded by a garden in keeping with traditional Italian design and a shady pine, holm oak and linden wood for relaxing afternoon naps. A kitchen garden is also at guests disposal. Very close to many cultural artistic and culinary delights which attract visitors from all over the world to Italy. An ideal place to explore many of Tuscany and Umbria's prime tourist locations, but if you are looking for something more relaxing, simply bask by the pool in the Italian sunshine and admire the countryside.

Within an hour's drive you can reach many Tuscan jewels such as Florence, Cortona (30 minutes drive), Lake Trasimeno, Montepulciano, Pienza, Siena, Chianti, Perugia, Assisi and Arezzo’s renowned four valleys (Valdichiana, Valdarno, Valtiberina, Casentino) among others. Not forgetting, of course, Arezzo which is only a 10 minute drive away, also famous for antiques and host of the largest monthly antique market in Italy. Sansepolcro, birthplace of Piero della Francesca and proud keeper of some of his most famous paintings and Caprese, birthplace of the great Michelangelo, are only 40 minutes away.

Private Swimming pool: 6m x 12m, pool depth – 1.5m at the deep end and 1.2m at the shallow end, access by both ladder and steps. Garden lighting. Pool and garden maintenance on a daily basis. We recently had a fantastic holiday here

It was our third time in Tuscany and thus this being the third property we've stayed in, I can honestly say it is in a class of its own.

The owners are very friendly and well organized which is hard to find in the notoriously bureaucratic Italy... they also speak excellent English!

If you want the true Italian experience, then this is it! Great location, and what a beautiful house. 10 out 10!

A Great Family Getaway

This is an ideal place to spend a summer holiday in Tuscany. The house is charming, set in quiet countryside but within easy reach of Arezzo. The kids loved the pool and all the space outside. Our only regret was that we waited until the last day to ask the landlady to cook for us, as she had initially offered to do. It was absolutely delicious and would have been the perfect solution for dinner each evening.

Thanks for the wine

To fully understand what it was like staying there, I have to go back to the first night we arrived in Arezzo. We got there around 8pm (and hungry) so we found this remarkable restuarant not too far from the station called "Olga and Albano" and had there the best steak, ever - EVER! Afterwards we took a short cab ride to the Villa. The Mahogany interior blew us both away, I tell you! Everything was beautifully prepared. We were almost expecting Sophia Lauren to suddenly enter. It took us a whole hour before noticing a complimentry bottle of Chianti (somehow, they knew that we retired Americans love Chianti) We woke up the next morning with Chianti-morning breath and took a look outside. The view was sight to see. It was all there. Rolling hills. Clear sky. Crisp morning air. There was a dove making cooing sounds ("italianis" call them "Tortolas" or something) it broke my heart. We didn't leave the premises of that lovely villa until late afternoon because there was too much to see. That first night and day would always be memorable and we certainly relished the days that followed. On our last day, my husband stole an old horse-shoe that was laying around - we're still arguing on where to hang it. I hope the owner didnt mind. (Thanks for the wine!)

I urge you to stay at this villa...and bring a book on birds!
