Casa Camella is a rurally situated fully restored and modernised Canarian Finca with a private fully heated swimming pool and glorious sea views over Puerto Calero. An old property but with tasteful and all modern conveniences it offers seclusion (nearest neighbour 100 metres distant on one side and open countryside on the other). It is a very quiet and peaceful location yet close (3 minutes by car) from the famous Puerto Calero marina with its supermarket, shops and numerous restaurants. Its two bedrooms and two bathrooms make it an ideal location for a romantic break for two, a family with two children, four friends or two married couples. There is plenty of space both inside and out, for relaxing, sunbathing by the pool and al-fresco dining under the shady pergola. With so many facilities on Lanzarote for sports recreation from scuba diving, surfing, cycling (on and off road), walking, fishing to name but a few, Casa Camella is ideal for summer or winter sun holidays.

Blue mosaic tiles and a white floor add to the spacious feel of this bathroom. Bathroom 2 has a walk in shower, toilet and modern plinth upon which a round modern bowl stands. The pale blue floor tiles give this bathroom a particularly clean and attractive feel. Both bathrooms are supplied with good quality hand and bath towels for each guest.

  • The master bedroom is modern, spacious and with a high ceiling has the added benefit of providing a cooler feel for those hot summer nights. Natural, blue, colour-washed wood gives a 'beside the sea' feel to the room. The master bedroom, is served by either of the two fully tiled bathrooms in the villa. The second bedroom has the added advantage of double doors that open directly onto the pool terrace and has sea views. It is served by either of the two modern fully tiled bathrooms in the villa.

Notes: Additional Information. The fully heated pool is kept at a minimum of 26 degrees C during winter months by the use of solar mats and a heat pump. Despite bright sunny days, unheated or solar only heated pools winter water temperatures do not make for pleasant swimming. For this reason we have invested for guests comfort and pleasure. The lounge has a woodburning stove in case there is ever a cool evening. Children are welcome but please ask before booking - age is always a consideration when it comes to suitability. Smokers are asked to please do so in outside areas only. Internet access is not normally provided - however in an emergency guests may request use of our own facility. Maid service is offered weekly and towel change, also pool cleaning twice weekly. Pool towels are provided for guests use. As we are island residents we can always be contactable and available for guests if required.

Golf: Lanzarote now has two golf courses - one at Costa Teguise 'Teguise Golf' and the other just up the road from Casa Camella at Tias, which has opened very recently. They both offer very high standards of 18 hole course and now with both Tias and Costa Teguise, there is sufficient opportunity for winter golfing on the island to be a real attraction. There is also a further course planned near Playa Blanca, at Montana Roja, and discussions underway concerning a third, extremely close to Casa Camella (just accross the road in fact) at Puerto Calero.

Other Activities: Many other activities are available on Lanzarote also.

We had a wonderfully relaxing break here! The house is well equipped and thoughtfully decorated. Its location is perfect for some quiet tranquility and yet it is close to shops and restaurants - a great combination! Renting a car is a must - the island has so much to offer. Many thanks,
