This luxury home has a pleasant south facing courtyard garden with a grapevine pergola for shade, a real luxury in the summer heat ! Situated in the village it offers a wide range of facilities, including supermarket, boulangerie, bars and restaurants. Three bedrooms - one double with en-suite shower room and south facing balcony, one double and one twin.Two further bathrooms.Fully fitted kitchen/breakfast room with all modern appliances including built in coffee maker and wine fridge. The kitchen opens straight into the south facing courtyard garden. Utility room with a Siemens washer and dryer, Large lounge with beautiful furnishings which include a fireplace from a chateau in the dordogne, hand carved wooden figures and a B&O stereo with a selection of CD's. The french windows lead straight onto the south facing courtyard garden. There is a 2nd lounge with H/D television + DVD's and a sofa bed. Office with internet connection. Garage parking.

Saint André is situated in a prime position on the Cote Vermeille close to the famous town of Ceret with it's exquisite market, museum of modern art and the history of famous artists such as Picasso and Dali who made it their home.The beautiful picturesque village of Collioure is just 10 minutes drive along magnificent coastline.The golf course at St.Cyprien is just 15 minutes drive and the Spanish border just 20 Minutes. Barcelona is well worth the two hour drive and Carcassonne with its walled city is not to be missed(1 hour 30 mins.).The local beach at Argeles-sur-Mer is a beautiful clean sandy beach stretching for miles.If you prefer walking, the Alberes mountains offer everything you could wish for. St. André is a typical Catalan village nestling at the foot of the beautiful Alberes mountains, minutes from the lovely sandy beaches and the rocky coves of the Cote Vermeille. Languedoc-Roussillon is a must for it's gourmet food and wine with some of the best wines in France.

We have just come back fron visiting family in this lovely dramatic and historic area and stayed a week in this house.
An amazing and refreshing change from other french gites we have stayed in.
At first suprised by the buildings obvious winery vocation from outside once inside we both agreed that for the first time in years and years of renting in europe we have finally come across a home as interesting well equiped and tastfully restored as our own house in the South West!
Loved it!
Bravo to the owners.

A beautifully restored old village house.Lovely furnishings, very luxurious, shaded terrace perfect for the day and those gorgeous warm evenings! In the centre of a typical old French village and well located for the mountains and the sea. Well recommended.
